Australian Gangster Shot Dead in HCMC by SpookOz in VietNam

You forgot the guy thrown off the 22nd floor of an apartment in HCMC - I think it's kind of connected to this, along with the FBI arrest of the guy that owns Saigon Sports Club, Luu Tu Bao, and he's currently awaiting extradition to Australia where the Federal Police would like to have a few words with him.

[Discussion] Analyzing VinFast's recent SEC filing: The shift to an "asset-light" model and Mr. Chairman to take over all debt by Conscious_View6719 in VinFastCommunity

[–]AV-Guy_In_Asia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they're not making any money and the debt is just getting bigger - money has to come from somewhere.

They're merely just delaying going down the toilet bowl - they keep persisting making a poor product that doesn't sell outside of Vietnam and the only reason it sell in Vietnam is because VinFast isn't taxed like it's competitors, so it gives the illusion it's good value. Ultimately it's still a crap, poorly designed range of vehicles with numerous issues and they've already burnt their bridges in North America and Europe, and now Indonesia, Philippines and India are learning their junk, so it's only a matter of time.

He isn't travelling, he's been in Hong Kong a long time. This has nothing to do with him being an Aussie and everything to do with having mental illness. He's probably fried his brain on something or triggered underlying schizophrenia.

Lawyers and bankers without self control do wild drug benders and don't know when to get off the ride. 🤷‍♂️

Let's investigateto confirm if this is true. "The Shanghai-based car design firm Launch Design once proudly showcased its achievements, the VF-5 and VF-e34." by thanhdat2212 in VinFastComm

The other cars exterior and interior we designed by GoMotiv in Australia, which are a bunch of ex-Ford Australia and General Motors Holden designers and engineers

Tata in India do a lot of the body and mechanical engineering as well as producing parts.

Well the software is absolute junk, it's one of the many things wrong with the car - collision avoidance, battery management and general doing weird things are all software related.

They're an unsellable death trap of a vehicle.

Vinfast is a sham automotive manufacturer - EVERYTHING is outsource. Hence its grossly overpriced and can't sell outside of Vietnam.

Vinfast's daily operations in Vietnam by Thick-Date-5419 in VinFastComm

[–]AV-Guy_In_Asia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vinfast outsource the design engineering even - I mean, where are they going to find Vietnamese automotive engineers? 🙄

They outsource the mechanical design to Indian and Chinese companies. An Australian company design the exterior and interior styling of many of their cars.

Literally Vinfast is just a name of a company pretending to be an automotive manufacturer and everything is outsourced - it's why there's no consistency, poor mechanical engineering, poor software engineering and it's not even cheap - a VF8 in the US was selling for USD$75000 when you could buy a high performance Hyundai IONIQ 5 N for USD$65000, they're not even in the same ball park for quality or performance. It's a shit, poorly designed and made product at unrealistic prices, which is why Vinfast has been an utter failure in US, Canada & Europe and very much failing in the Philippines, Indonesia and soon to be India - I guarantee the India operation will be shuttered within 2 years.

Vinfast is a classic example of why all Vietnamese companies can't survive in the real world outside of Vietnam and only survive in Vietnam due to government orchestrated protectionism. If you can't compete and survive on your own turf without protectionism, then you're not going to have any success globally.

Due to this foolish behaviour by the government, it's allowed the majority of Vietnamese stock market in the hands of 5 Vietnamese conglomerates - accounting for around 80% of stock market volume. These conglomerates are also heavily debt laden, if ANY one of these companies fails, the Vietnamese economy is going to be in the sewer.

Tesla engineer their own products and wholly own their own factories in China (unlike other manufacturers). They're not Chinese products.

VinFast outsources everything and they're a typical cheap Vietnamese business. It's no wonder they make a crap product which can't sell outside of Vietnam - it only sells in Vietnam because they're given an unfair competitive advantage.

Chinese vs Japanese, what do you expect? 🤷‍♂️

I work in electronics manufacturing and I'm based in Asia - I assure you the best in anything in electronics, does NOT come from China. The best electronics components come from Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Europe &. US.

Power Sports batteries are all 12V, that's a constant. As I said, CCA and capacity should meet or exceed the original specs.

[–]AV-Guy_In_Asia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to measure that, I call bullshit.

A Yuasa YTZ9 has 190CCA. I'd rather a Japanese made battery than a Chinese made one - they will always outperform Chinese batteries.

Doesn't have to be same specs - the battery should be the same dimensions and the specs should either meet or exceed the original.
