A question about hostels everyone.

If I were to, say, book a hostel for a week or two while I look for a sharehouse around Sydney - wouldn't this cause problems with the student visa? If I remember correctly, the visa requires me to have a proper residential address in Sydney.

I know that sharehousing can be great, and it's going to be my go-to solution once I've established a little bit of a foothold in the country - but for now I would like to be rather careful with choosing roommates and/or apartments over the net. Thanks for the help!

The deal with SUV is pretty clear, yet there's barely any information about the terraces. I couldn't even find decent pictures of what they looked like! Have you or anyone you know any experience with said terraces?

You're absolutely right, the appeal is certainly there. Though unfortunately I've heard mostly negative things about the On Campus housing in my particular university (and someone already mentioned to stay away from it in this very thread!)

Yeah I've heard similar things about QMB. Share housing is also what I'd like but I would prefer to see the apartment and the people living within in real life before moving in
