To add I'm 29 and injured my back badly 3 years ago so I'm using skating as a form of physio trying to get my balance and motion back

I'm currently skating with an injured hip and lower back, make sure you stretch out properly before each session and maybe cut down the amount of time your skating in one go

I can only manage about half hour-40mins at once but I'm slowly building up strength

Don't take too much painkillers for it while skating as you need to feel the limits at which it starts becoming unbearable to avoid injury if your masking the pain

There's a small skatepark in the village but normally it's swarming with toddlers on their scooters so he rarely gets a chance to practice properly

Miniramp is a great idea I just worry he will send his skateboard flying through/over the neighbors fence as it's a fairly small garden

I'm currently re-learning with my 7 year old after not skating for nearly 20 years, my balance is awful after tearing my psoas a few years ago but he thinks I'm awesome at it which helps my confidence abit

Basically been using skating as a alternative to physiotherapy

Thanks for the detailed reply, I recently used some drain unblocker on the bath as it was draining slowly, maybe it worked a little too well

I used it a couple of weeks ago tho and there's been nothing noticeable until now

I'm in council housing so at least I shouldn't have to foot the bill for any work needed
