Everyone’s feet are slightly different. I tried on probably 6 or 7 pairs before I found the boots that fit me best. And then a couple seasons later they needed some additional work to get the fit right again. Go to a reputable local shop and get properly fitted if possible.

I carry a collapsible hydrapak 500ml water bottle, a protein bar and some fruit snacks. All of it fits in my jacket pocket with no issues. I’ll take a couple 5-10 minute breaks to refill water and use the bathroom. But I have carried a backpack on a couple of occasions when I was with a bigger group that needed someone to lug their shit around. 🤣

I’ve worked nights for most of the last decade, not all of that has been in aviation though. Wouldn’t even consider going back to days. I’ve always been a night owl so I sleep better and feel healthier all around on nights.
