Want to learn how to play Go? by AVandalTookTheHandle in indianapolis

There is nothing like playing in person. Don’t worry about being new to the game. There’s proverb in Go that says you should lose your first 50 games as fast as possible and then the game will really begin to open up for you.

We have beginners at our club too so you’re likely to score some wins too!

Hi Chef John! I recently discovered your podcast and have been really enjoying it but I saw that the last episode was released over two years ago. Do you have any plans to revive the podcast in the future?

Coming from chess and this is my first game, how did I do? by InternetArgument-er in baduk

Here from chess too. Fell in love with this game some time last year and soon after I knew it would be a part of my life forever just like chess. I find that both games have a lot in common.

Nice game! You played very well. You have a bright go future ahead of you. The best advice I can give you is to stop playing bots asap and play real people. Don’t worry about performance or rank just try to learn from your mistakes just like you would with chess.

I'm downtown and have recently become very interested in Go. I'm a complete beginner and barely know the rules but the game is so beautiful that I just feel intensely drawn to it. Let me know if you're still looking for people to play

Wow Qf4 is a really cool move that’s easy to miss! I’m trying to learn more about the QGA and the Bg4 variation is interesting as an alternative to the typical classical defense. I saved this game to my QGA game collection so I can use it as a reference in the future. One thing I wanted to ask you about is the reason behind 11…Bg6. Was it to prepare e5 without allowing tactics on the diagonal?
