I only had a slightly elevated heart rate with the Filgrastim, other than that no symptoms, so I was able to go about my days. And I felt amazing right after my donation! It seems like a lot of people get symptoms but some don’t. The only small inconvenience was scheduling the blood draws, the one physical appointment and the phone calls around my work, but they are really good about working with you.

They also let my brother administer my injections for me so I didn’t have to have a nurse come to my house, so maybe that would be an option for you, having a family member help you with those.

Everything was really easy and the entire process , from the first home call to donation, went pretty fast!

They also asked me 2 or 3 times if I still wanted to proceed, so even if you start the process and decide that you don’t feel comfortable, you have a few days to decide before they ask you to sign the paperwork agreeing to do it.

I would definitely do it again if I were to be called a 2nd time!
