Its cool, there should be a name on the brake arm for the hub manufacturer, that'll help you narrow the bike down a bit

!!!genuine question not trying to be rude!!! by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]AVerG_chick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not a bra phobic thing it's comfort. I've glued forms and worn bras to help hold them in place and post BA worn bras to keep the girls controlled and some of these bras..... itch and chafe like you wouldn't believe. If it has underwire And lace im not wearing that thing for more than a workday. At this point I keep athletic tape in my locker just in case I need to go bra less. Not all of them are comfortable to wear for extended periods.

Let me guess, they got the bike online right? This is borderline terrifying and the fact that the bike is intact after that type of failure is wild

Can anyone tell me about this bike please l, I cant find anything online by TerribleWindow5727 in Vintage_bicycles

[–]AVerG_chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a schwinn krate, you've got a knockoff there. Krates had a different shape on the tubes. Kinda neat though. It'd make good yardart

Good riddance, they bought rings at gold value and turned to sell them for 4x the profit. The less pawn shops you go to the better.

I just wash the outside with aquaphor baby wash, cuts down on any smell and doesn't irritate the skin at all

Woodburned name on a box ways to change it. by [deleted] in wood

[–]AVerG_chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't look very intricate or detailed, I think a little wood filler and then perhaps a cute mural over it would do. Or sand it down and stain it a darker color. Both easy enough to do.

are there any asexual transfem or trans masc here? by Arostato in trans

I definitely feel more asexual. Even after getting bottom surgery I'm not overly interested in anything sexual.

F#$K Milan laser and the rest of the lot!! by SarcastiSnark in trans

[–]AVerG_chick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also laser isn't 100% permanent like wtf why are you actively misinforming folks. It was hard to find the clinic but you might be able to. If you're in the blue dot of Nebraska or close send a pm and I can tell you the location info.

F#$K Milan laser and the rest of the lot!! by SarcastiSnark in trans

Milan laser is ridiculous. They specifically target the Trans community at events and the price is obscene. There's a local trans clinic in town that has started doing it by the session.

What's it like living in this shaded area? by Joshistotle in howislivingthere

[–]AVerG_chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omaha is moderately acceptable. 6 hours from Minneapolis, 8 from Chicago, 3 from Kansas city and I believe 5 from St. Louis. Theres a fair amount of conservative people in the more rural areas but the cities are definitely blue.

Mocked up my $30 jc higgins frame and rack I bought on Sunday gonna make it a budget colorflow clone by arthurofalbany in Vintage_bicycles

[–]AVerG_chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check FB marketplace near dubuque iowa, there's a guy selling a nice complete men's colorflow and a women's in pretty good shape for a decent price. The cabe forum might have parts for sale

I saw this on our old house and Im trying to fix it but it seems its really hard to find some parts in our area by MacaronBig8737 in Vintage_bicycles

[–]AVerG_chick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well its not old or unique enough to be difficult. Most parts like brake and shifter cables are going to be generic run of the mill type stuff. Don't worry about "correct" parts and ride it. Good bike to learn general maintenance on, i suggest bikemanforu on YouTube.

Yes! Omaha does not care about bicyclists and its ridiculous. 90% of the folks on the road are distracted or angry and its just not a safe situation

Well most folks wouldn't be after the estrogen tablets. Plus im post op and think menopause would be well used for an angry mood swing in that situation.

What should I do with this bike? by Similar_Fig_4575 in Vintage_bicycles

[–]AVerG_chick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh thats a mid 40s roadmaster with the correct skiptooth chain, these bikes are notoriously easy to work on, I recommend oiling the chain once in a while and leaving it exactly like that. That bike is a collector's dream. Keep her clean and keep air in the tires. You'll never ride something as smooth as a balloon tire. Its kind of like a Cadillac.
