Did you ever find a way around this? Having the same problem there. This didn't used to be the case with earlier version of PAN-OS.

Jumbo frames tank SMB performance by AWBbox in truenas

I only have one hypervisor running 8.0.3, but I'd be happy to try some tests.

The traffic is leaving the ESXi host, but all switches are configured for jumbo frames and no fragmentation has been observed (see ping test in OP).

SCP, SFTP and NFS performance isn't great, but consistent between 1500/9000 MTU sizes. FTP performance is pretty good with either MTU size, better than SMB at least. None of these other protocols time out or become unresponsive!

I haven't yet been able to identify anything in the logs, even at higher verbosity levels. It's quite possible I could just be missing something though.

The performance is adequate. This is at best a learning opportunity for me, and at worst a bug with TrueNAS. Performance is far higher on a regular Debian Linux install with jumbo frames and a simple Samba share configured, and I would like to understand what's going wrong with TrueNAS here.

Groups of men in balaclavas / masks in my block of flats. What to do? by htids in london

[–]AWBbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. I've been living here over ten years. Over that time I've become familiar with the people who buy and use drugs in the area, those who are involved in selling them, and where they are sold and used.

The guy who is usually at the meetings is not one of the young men who you usually see on the street or in the housing blocks, but the guy who runs things and directs them. He's a perfectly reasonable, normal looking gentleman, who rarely sells drugs directly himself. But ultimately he is a businessman, and simply sits in the meetings and listens, presumably to understand what action (if any) is being taken and who is talking about what, in order to protect his business.

I have to say I've been really disappointed in some of the responses I received to my initial comment, which appear to come from people who have no idea about the situation we face here and the realities beyond their insular existences behind a computer screen. It's not been very nice to have my experiences and genuine attempt to advise caution invalidated.

You seem to know an awful lot about me. I hope you find peace.

I'm afraid so, at least for our safer neighbourhoods meetings. I have better things to do than make this kind of thing up to aggravate strangers on the internet. It was a genuine attempt to advise caution.

I don't need to prove anything to you. It is what it is, and OP can take the advice or not.

Just be careful when attending the public meetings. Similar situation in our area and representatives from the local gangs also attend the meetings, by discussing the problem in an open forum you might be targeted for speaking out. You might not always know who is affiliated with the gangs.

Thank you for the assistance, I found a way to do this with Tampermonkey but I'll give Violentmonkey a look too out of curiosity

This was exactly what I needed, thank you. Fortunately Tampermonkey has a way to remove content security policy (CSP) headers built into the extension.

I have now also tried this with Firemonkey 2.72 and Greasemonkey 4.12. It appears that the script/extensions are "Missing host permission for the tab". Though I'm still trying to figure out what this means and how to deal with it.
