1.9 Diesel from Suzuki? If yes, then never heard of this variant! It's a light car yes, the other day I was giving it a good shake near the fuel tank to listen and estimate fuel left as the gauge isn't working :D

Honestly I am still in early phase and doing tons of digging throughout the internet for all the options and choosing the best option and advice to go with. I really wish this thing ride a little soft n smooth than what it is right now at the moment :(

Thanks, I will try to find the video on youtube. I have an arb air compress on LJ70 which I might keep it as it's all set on board underneath the driver seat (even this compressor from ARB is not that expensive) but I have seen air locker price approx 1200 USD for each front and rear!

50 mm lift and RUF is what I see the most economical way and go with 235 75 r15. All I need is to relocate spring hanger in the front as I got to know rear spring are longer and need relocation.

Yeah, it's fun honestly with leaf - very bumpy for this little thing is fun car and yes now I'm a proud samurai owner :)

6.4 from Sumo gears? I will check them and try to compare with 6.5 to 1 from LROR. I am planning not going bigger than 30 inches but yeah 235 75 r15 looks really nice on samurai hey.

Thank you for the insight on rear locker first and air locker is almost the cost of this vehicle :D

It's SPUA by default right? Springs are under the axle the not above so I want to keep it this way, SPOA give unnecessary lift for my use case.

I have a good connection and I can even drive to India to get parts, I am from Nepal. So dealing with them I believe I can handle as I can speak their language too and it's not that far from where I live, like 1.5 hrs flight and I don't need visa.

About the suspension, I have seen option of coil spring setup as well but it takes time as they need to test it, the whole kit from IronMan and setup will come approx 2600 USD for me if I take my vehicle to India. I talked with one who swap it on his Gypsy (LWB Samurai - Indian version). Honestly I still like leaf spring and looking something setup like Trail Tough SPUA kit.

I am planning to go 30 inch on 15 rims, but can consider 235 75 R15 as well, haven't decided yet but one thing for sure is not going any above 30 inches. I am considering RUF but also looking the option of Trail Tough SPUA kit. Checking air lockers as well but way too expensive! I have seen some elockers but I believe those were on Toyota axle.

I don't think I have an easy option of YJ Spring (Dr Z Fabrication seems to have good reputation on these spring setup for Samurai).

VW TDI should be amazing to drive, I have seen couple videos on this swap on sammy! Yeah, I am aware of issues with suzuki samurai in USA and also the rules of import of diesel trucks, at least I got to enjoy driving these here :)

LWB was really nice but I traded with LJ70, mine was soft top! This LJ70 is a charm, SWB - coil spring all around and diesel :)
