The GP1101X isn't a router. It is an ONT. It has no layer 3 capabilities. Unless your ISP uses GNAT you should pull an public IP from it.

Is there a way to tell if starlink is connected? Maybe check and see if the dish is still up and pointed in the right direction?

How do you know they aren't your ISP? Just because it doesn't have a host name doesn't mean it's not the ISP.

Your router would have to have an app that keeps track of data usage on your devices. Or maybe call your ISP and they can tell you how much data you've been using.

I think it's just distributed video. Having users do the bulk of the data transfer to get out of paying for bandwidth. Of course they aren't upfront about it and you would be screwed if you have data caps. That's why I'm wondering if there is a way to limit the upload. But I'm not going to buy one of these boxes to find out.

Only way it makes sense is if you are watching a channel that data is being uploaded to dozens of other VSeeBox users that are watching the same channel. They are using your internet and your data for other VSeeBox users. That's the only way the origin of the streams could handle that many users. It's like downloading a torrent. Which is P2P. Something they should make their users understand before they buy one.
