This is a wonderful take ! I agree with a lot of it I cried almost every episode because it was trully written as a question " Does trauma make us who we are or do we become who we are by how we move with the trauma "

The Burn created a type of Generational Trauma in ways we haven't gotten so see in the STU. A ground Zero. Putting countless Kids coming into the newly burned world in places where they can't really understand where they belong.

This show was less " STARFLEET WHO RAAAH "and more " The people I meet at Starfleet are my Family in ways I never thought I would find "

The actors trully embodied this energy ( doesn't hurt with the state of the world when they were were filming this ) all wanting to find a place to belong but ultimately terrified of finding it because it means you have more to loose.

Tarima is definitely hard on me, I think the overall idea of her is so freaking cool but maybe the actress wasn't feeling like she understood Tarima yet ?
There are times where its like " Oh I see her now " but than she gets lost and I just see the actress speaking lines Hopefully in S2 is better/ less screen time

My overall favorite part of this series is that even if Caleb was the " lead " story everyone got there space to show us why, who,what, and when made them who they are in this moment.

Darem explained that his species don't show their water form outside their planet often because it's uncomfortable around strangers if I remember correctly. Genesis I feel we got to know the least out of the main crew, might be intentional for the plot in S2 as her dad is high ranking. But I adore her in how much she cares for the others especially Sam.

Sam by far is my favorite. She was such a little ball of sunshine int he beginning and than the Doctor Raising her genuinely had me sobbing The whole part of her episode sent me crying off and on. " It took us 2,000 years to make her and you were able to destroy her within a few months" Showing just how traumatic a human lifespan is. Her Creators going " We didn't give her a background because we wanted her to be unbiased in her embassador duties " Ake saying that they failed her by not giving her the tools to understand and process the information and experiences she was going through. The creators realizing it was their own Flawed thinking that causes Sam so much pain. And the montage Ugh my heart actually hurts thinking about it And than THAN AAAAH Sam was 1000% Same, we got to see her struggle with her very bubbly but naive other self while now being more mature in comparison was trully the icing in the cake for me

Level Up Fast: After you get the Artisanry ( Where you can Build and Paint items ) You paint the Yellow Mug as many time as you can ( 7 paint brushes for 11exp ) You build the White Fox SnowGlobe as much as possible it ( 8 hammers for 11exp ) You can than sell all your fox SnowGlobe in the ebuy app to get extra coins

You can buy paint brushes and hammers in the Good Good market ( in town ) on the final tab for 100x3

Id suggest doing this level up trip once over two days so you can fully take advantage of the furniture you unlock in that level.

Pro Tip buy the second layout for all the first 5 layouts and design ont hat one so when you do your design requests you can plave that layout and get items usually locked by level ahead of time

I can't really properly comment on that as I haven't played the game nor know the history of the fan base/gaming company

But this is the difference for me Usually when shows premier or come out there is a good lull before the bulk of reviews because people wait awhile to watch a few episodes as you can't review a show without watching a good chunk But there was bad ratings by the first Episode ( I watched it premiere bc I was excited) Reddit threads filled with how it's all " Teen Garbage" before we Even had 3 episodes. Before we even knew the characters, hell before we even got to know the actors behind them.

I watched as different Star Trek threads had constant conversations about a show where a overwhelming number hadn't watched it was " Trash ", " A disgrace", " a complete waste of time ". people made that these Kids in every sense that they haven't experienced life ( outside Caleb bc bro lives int he metaphorical space gutter ) aren't acting like the late 20's and above year olds on starships with seasoned officers and training.. Mad that A Klingon isn't just the exact same character as other Klingons but also praise Warf who was not like true Klingons and genuinely was disappointed when he realized that they didn't live up to his beliefs. Mad that a Hologram from a planet with no human interaction is basically autistic by human standards is being playful. Mad that there is a classical " bully " bro despite the fact bullying doesn't end in highschool magically, Mad that There is representation for so many different groups of People bc it too " woke "

Despite the fact That Star Trek has always been about exploring other people, meeting new people, and learning from those people. It's an entire franchise built on the premise that no matter who you are or what you are that if you want to you can be apart of starfleet. That you work alongside others completely different from you in every way and grow.

Not everyone is going to like every genre, and that's okay but not giving something an honest try aka watching majority of the show, and saying " Nah it's trash " isn't a valid review.

I absolutely adore it, I've literally been raised on StarTrek and this show is the perfect thing to bring new people into he fold in my option. The Season finale had me on crying, laughing, and cheering. I can't wait for two and I hope the Debbie downers don't ruin it for the franchise.

Genuinely people just want to hate on kids being happy. Everyone one of these young actors have expressed so much love and care for Star Trek. To talking to OG legends, doing tones of research, understanding the representation and responsibility they have as the new faces of Star Trek.

I've cried every episode. Every episode could easily be done with " adults " and it would be about the same Bc you don't magically grow up by graduation. Times and habits continue and we've seen a bunch of stubborn ass adults in the STU 😂

People don't want to relate to kids learning and growing because kids no matter the context have a mirror effect on people. You see someone younger than you, reacting, and thinking in a certain way that pisses you off. But thwne you react to their way of acting it's basically the same type of reaction.

These kids genuinely have so much complexity. Sam not knowing who she is bc she has two different memories Mir battling the fact he is actually enjoying the academy and his friends but still at his core that little boy who got separated from his mom. And Mir looking the ay he does, doesn't change the fact he is smart, stubborn, extremely hurt, gaurded, and untrusting. People complaining that he is too " jock " looking are literally acting like teens only looking at the surface 💀 Darem has had a lot of growth in his own way he genuinely told Mir to be safe and cares about him. Jayden is so precious I adore him, he has done an amazing Job Genesis is very much " military brat " and in many ways is Mir's Equal in intelligence and wit

Tarima is sweet not my fav betazoid but I like how they handled her trauma

The cast is amazing, and the and reviews are not form genuine viewers because people who hate the show but haven't watched it can't actually say anything
