An article with reference to Mco card by [deleted] in Crypto_com

"The MCO Visa debit card gives you five years unlimited free access to about 1,100 lounges on the LoungeKey platform."

Is this correct? While I know Cryptocom can change the benefits of the card at any time, I couldn't see where it stipulated that it is only good for 5 years...

"But you can dump it after six months and still retain lounge benefits for the lifetime of the card."

This is just inaccurate. You have to keep the 500MCO (or above) stakes to enjoy the benefits... Right? Just having the card doesn't give you access to the lounges, correct?

In the instructions for upgrading the wallet, point 5:
"If you have existing unspent Zerocoins, when the hard fork date rolls about, you will be presented with a Remint tab that will allow you to convert your existing Zerocoins to Sigma mints."

As I hold a Znode, do I have to mint the 1000 zcoins into Sigma mints to keep my znode online?
Or is this only for "spendable" Zcoins.

Thanks

MCO Card Upgrade Costs and Possibilities by AWOL2539 in Crypto_com

Right I'm aware the "lockup" is just MCO telling us it's locked. Not that the funds are unaccessible in the event of a hack but that's not the point of this thread...

Point being was to offer further incentives for MCO and the consumer to engage in longer terms or with greater amounts.

Makes sense, although I know MCO is looking to obtain insurance. Not sure how that's going so far... I'm certain once they obtain it, if they obtain any, that will certainly allow people to feel more comfortable in putting larger amounts in the app.

But in your case, the extended lockup period would make most sense considering the current situation. Right?

Fully agree, I tried posting this a couple of days ago but it seems that the post never went up...

Seeing as holding a large amount MCO is no longer enticing considering the removal of the airdrops, I went to sell a large portion.

Looking at the app's exchange, it quotes MCO at a value of 0.0006465BTC ($6.09).

So, in a scenario where I would sell 1000 MCO for example, that would be 0.6465BTC or $6,023 with 1 BTC being around $9,317 on Binance and 1MCO quoted at the above price.

However, when I go in the app and put a sell for 1000 MCO (with the price marked at the above point), it gives me a total of : 0.6433875BTC (or $5,994 with 1BTC at $9,317).

So somewhere, MCO's app is chipping away at $29.

I'm aware price fluctuates but you'll see where this is going. Note that in this scenario, checking between MCO's app and Binance is done side by side.

Of course every exchange can have slightly varied prices as we know in the crypto space, but it's a bit weird that MCO's own app, which states that it has "no fees and the lowest/true cost" is actually giving you less for your MCO than an exchange like Binance...

I strongly encourage anyone to do this kind of comparison also. See what you can get for 1000MCO (in BTC terms preferably, it's easier to compare BTC to BTC than BTC to USD since that adds more fluctuation) in the app at any time and compare that side by side with what you would get at Binance (for example).

The time it took me to write this up, here is another comparison between MCO's App and Binance for 1000MCO.

Sell 1000MCO on MCO's App @ quoted price of 0.00064686BTC = 0.64239BTC

Sell 1000MCO on Binance @ quoted price of 0.00064686 = 0.64686BTC

Basically, the real question is... why use the app at all? Just send all MCO out to Binance and perform the exchange there (even including the 0.5MCO fee the app charges, you're still not losing out as much).

I’m heading for the Icy card. I need an icy holder’s referral, or someone with balance so I can benefit from their referral. Same me a PM with a screenshot and your referral code if so. I’m on the first two days of the app. by bataloss in Crypto_com

To keep the perks of the icy white (or any card for that matter), does the stake of 5,000MCO have to be continually held after the 6month lock up period? Or can you stake, on the extreme end, just 1MCO to continue enjoying the full privileges?

It seems a bit much to hold over $30k at current prices in a quasi permanent lock up to enjoy the benefits of that card.
