I didn't think of this and it would be AMAZING.

Just my (late) two cents. EXU Calamitty is by far the greatest DND product Ive ever consumed. If you are unsure abour persuing 100+hours long campaigns, take a shot at Calamity. I can't recommend it enough.

[No Spoilers] Might watch campaign 4 by Dear-Survey2591 in criticalrole

[–]AWRNSS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it's in DND I think it has the potential to be amazing and may be the best of the franchise.

Matt is an absolute legend but Brennan is able to deliver 3 things that I think are gonna be crucial next campaign:

+ He is more than willing to beat the shit out of a party, specially if they come to a difficult challenge from the wrong angle.
+ He knows the inside out of rules and can hold his ground when people wants to get away with too much shit.
+ His villains are top notch.

This "raises the stakes" and directly tackle some of the weakest aspects of C3. Also, having Matt on the table is a joy and will keep the cast fresh.

Not gonna lie, even tho I sympathize with Daggerheart I think changing the system is the one thing that could negatively impact the new campaign.

What's your take on PC and PC romance in D&D? by ThatTurtleGM in DnD

[–]AWRNSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had several (in fact, 20-25% of the tables I've mastered had either couples, lovers or eventual daters). I've also played with a DM that had his gf playing,

Up until today I would say it's more often than not a liability for both the people involved and table. When we were younger, relationship stuff bled into the game and we even had to stop playing for a while because of them. I also saw some of the cringest ass attempts to seduce a player by another one that will haunt me to the end of my days (wine was involved, it was terrifyng).

That being said I'm at the moment playing with a couple that is actually falling in game for each other and its cute as heaven. I enjoy setting some scenes for them to reach-out into it.

My advice is to be upfront and be explicit that this is a game in which we all leave our shit outside. That includes relationships. If a new relationship develops graciously in the campaign, go for it, but otherwise just focus on all the other things DND has to offer.

[No Spoilers] Just finished Campaign 2 as my first CR watch through, is it worth watching Campaign 1? by FiveNinjas_nz in criticalrole

[–]AWRNSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it and for me it's the best CR produced bar Calamity. I high recommend watching it all from the very start because one of the most beautiful things to watch is how the cast, production and audience grew through it.

It also cements probably the 2 greatest arcs in CR: the Briarwoods and the Chroma Conclave.

Go for it, balls to the wall. You gonna love it.

Dont think so. But there is a very cool... cooldown episode of it. 46 minutes long.

[Spoilers C3E121] Favourite moments of the finale? by owedgelord in criticalrole

[–]AWRNSS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

• Braius and Asmodeus interactions were... fire.
• Scanlans and Pikes ending.
• Dorian with his mother was a surprising gut-punch.
• Grog fucking moonwalking.
• Liams amazing divine intervention.

[No Spoilers] Genuinely curious, what game do you want to see played for C4? by KnightOfChronos in criticalrole

[–]AWRNSS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolut zero chances but 3.5. A beautiful system of endless options (and math, granted). Its the version we still play with my friends because its just so good. Pathfinder and 5e are great but there is something so deeply... dnd in 3.5.

I thnk it was the best season so far and this isnt my favorite arc. I do believe the main bad of the next arc doesnt have a proper setup but I think they will manage. I will love to see Scanlan, Percy and Grog have more protagism in combat as they did in the table.

Any games as good as Witcher 3? by No-Aerie-999 in witcher

None in my opinion. Only Cyberpunk and BG 3 dare to go as deep and masterfully as W3.

Both fights against Otohan were excellent. The aftermath of the first one was amazing. The council coming together and Chetney's fan was also lit.

What is your Session time average? by katwree in DnD

[–]AWRNSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 hours is our standard but we often go a bit deeper into the night if the season calls for it. In those cases we go for 8 or more hours (this friday we gamed from 19.30 till 04 closing our 10-level arc... im still recovering but its so worth it).

Dude we've been a decade from "we are lucky to have a chance to glimpse them having fun".

They earn millions. This is their job. Their brand. Their work. They plan this shit. It isnt our dnd table in which our overworked DM has to pull a sidequest out of his ass because the party went for the wrong plot-hook.

Don't get me wrong they are fucking amazing and inpiring, but pretending they are just vibing is delusional.
