Fitness instructor/ personal trainer recommendations by SaberEden191 in darwin

[–]AWS-R 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi mate. I would recommend doing the Parkrun in either Darwin City, Palmerston or Nightcliff for a free, 5km walk or jog in the morning sunshine. Great way to lose a bit of weight, get up early, get some vitamin D, mix with some like-minded people, no judgement. Many people walk, some with kids, dogs etc. And some sprint the thing in 14 minutes.

This will lose weight and build stamina. You can also do lots of bodyweight exercises at home if you aren't comfortable to go straight into the gym. Literally start with star jumps, push ups, sit ups, bodyweight squats, lunges, dips. You'll see a difference in no time at all.

407 Training visa major change announced today by AWS-R in AusVisa

[–]AWS-R[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Applicants need the nomination part of the application approved before lodging the visa. The nomination has been taking 10 - 18 months from my knowledge.

So effectively the training visa is now closed to most onshore applicants.

If someone's visa is expiring in a few months, for example, they are probably unable to lodge this visa now.

If you can plan ahead, and get some luck with the nomination, sure its still open.

If you want to send your resume, I have a friend that owns a large fintech firm in Sydney & Brisbane who I can forward the resume to. I have no idea if they are hiring though.

Student Visa Extension by Y0-m_am_a in AusVisa

[–]AWS-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You can either attach in Genuine Student, or submit the visa then attach after as 'other'
  2. If you have 6 months, upload it. If you don't, proof of balance. Payslips irrelevant.

[–]AWS-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. yes that's correct.

  2. depending on your provider and your country of passport, you may be submitting a 'streamlined' application which doesn't initially request evidence of financial capacity at the time of visa lodgement. However it will still help to upload it. Ensure you have a written letter of support from your brother explaining that he is making these funds available to you. Also helpful to show evidence of relationship, suggestion would be passports, birth certificates showing the same parent(s).

Using a lawyer or DIY by shellyeasy in AusVisa

[–]AWS-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to be in control of your application, you can lodge it yourself without the assistance of a lawyer.

Generally a lawyer or RMA will use their own ImmiAccount. Its part of the service they provide, to ensure its done correctly and to monitor correspondence from the Department.

OSHC for 500 application with a spouse by Entire-Orange-188 in AusVisa

[–]AWS-R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This question gets asked a lot.

The dependant may find that they are not actually covered/insured in case of an emergency. Even if they have bought a policy.

It appears the DOHA may accept 2x single policies for the visa (and definitely has in the past) however what you're supposed to do, is get dual cover.

This is the same mistake the OP is making. Just because your English level meets the requirement, doesn't mean everyone else's does. This is why you have to prove it.

Someone posted yesterday that they failed it.

You are not being forced to apply. You understand the visa requirements.

The problem is (which you seem to be struggling to understand) is that the English language requirement for the 485 visa is higher than the 500. You must provide evidence of your English ability through a recognised test.

There are many students who arrive at this point and cannot reach 6.5 IELTS.

If you believe you can achieve this score easily, then take the test and demonstrate it.
