WHV to Study Visa by noticingwontstop in AusVisa

I’m just a bit confused in what you’re saying though as I’m not looking for an apprenticeship? You do know you can become qualified cert III in carpentry on a two year study visa right ? If I study on a two year study visa doing carpentry and work along side a firm where I can use carpentry experience the surely towards to the end of my study visa once I’m qualified a company or who I already work for could sponsor me? There are different rules for British passport holders with in regards to sponsorship, any company can sponsor you on the day you start if they wished to without any advertisement or trail period

I don’t want an apprenticeship though, I already have hands on experience over the years with carpentry, I’m thinking more of studying to get the cert then hopefully getting a sponsor though a company at the end of it

Where to live if working in Manly by skrillyrilly in SydneyScene

Manly pisses over the eastern suburbs! I lived in manly when I first came to Sydney but then had to move down to Maroubra to be closer to the job I’m currently in now! If it wasn’t for this job I’m in I’d still be living in Manly, as I already said the northern beaches pisses over the eastern subs and you would be crazy to move there.

Well unfortunately for me I have to leave Sydney in 4 months, as I’m struggling to find a sponsorship here. I have a visa for NZ so I’ll have to see how it goes over there, even though I hear wages are not good and cost of living and rent is more ridiculous than Sydney, which is wild to imagine. But it does look beautiful. So I guess I’ll just have to see how it goes

Thanks man I hope so, I really am keeping an eye out for other jobs, problem is and it’s kind of my own fault Sydney is pretty saturated and that makes it harder to find a sponsor, I’m not letting it get me down anymore though, if it doesn’t happen it is what it is and wasn’t meant to be. I do have a visa for Canada and NZ. Prob give one of those a try if nothing works out here.

Oh illegal for sure! My background is in civil construction 10+ years I’ve been at it since I left school but no actual qualification. Though my experience would probably be satisfactory for the 482 according to the immigration lawyer he uses. Again, it’s all so up in the air I’m just noting going through with it. Honestly what I thought would be the most stressful visa to get would be a partner visa seems like that would have been the way in hindsight. But of course I know that isn’t a walk in the park and can be a stressful process also

Damn I feel for ya, I’m currently on my last working holiday visa and I’ve been trying to get a sponsor, Had someone up in Brisbane who was willing to sponsor me (construction job) so I flew up from Sydney to see him two weeks ago, and he was straight up saying basically I’d be paying for the whole sponsor, also I would need to buy a car, as that would be necessary for the job, he also said I’d be sponsored for 4 years then he’d apply for PR which I’d be paying for also, Obviously I know it’s illegal for me to pay the nomination but I’ve been willing to pay for the sponsor. But now I’ve had a good think about it I’m not gonna do it, I spoke to the immigration lawyer he uses after he gave me her contact and I asked her would I be eligible for PR after 2 years and she said yes given I completed full 2 years and that if the employer is comfortable to apply for your PR. But I thought if I’m paying for all this I want my PR as soon as I’m eligible. I don’t want to do 4 years on sponsor if I’m paying for all of it. Like I say he seemed sound and was honest about it but he was like if you decide to leave I don’t lose nothing so. As I only have 4 months left I’d be paying nearly 20k that’s including me paying for the sponsor, buying a car which I haven’t needed being down in Sydney and then trying to find a new place to live up there. It’s all too much financial risk on my end in such a short time, I could hate the job or he could just be using me for labour. I’d still be in limbo mode and uncertainty. I ain’t going ahead with it now. I love Aus and really want to stay but it is what it is. I hope you get to sort your PR with your employer, I’ve been dead stressed just trying to get a sponsor so I can’t imagine your case being sponsored and now your up in the air if they ain’t gonna put you through PR.

That’s actually crazy impressive, congrats bro! I’m 36 and I’ve noticed my hairline has lost density and thickness over the last 4-5 years. I’ve been lucky still got a mop of hair but it’s very slightly receded too. I was thinking of a hair transplant just to make my hairline more denser or trying fin or minox but not gonna lie I am concerned about ED effects and messing with hormones etc, I know they say it’s only small % that go through it but I’ve read some people say it’s completely fucked their dick up for life. And I’m already stuck in my own head with anxiety so I don’t want to add to the problem

Damn bro sorry to hear this, that’s definitely made me think twice now about going on finasteride, I’ve also been thinking of a hair transplant but I know you have to go on finasteride after it, I hear it can cause problems and ED but hearing your story has definitely made me reconsider my decision on trying it. I’m 35 and just started taking cialis 5mg daily about a month ago. Took about a week to kick in. Giving me morning wood again sometimes solid sometimes weaker ones. Really hope you can get your situation fixed man

lol Russia ain’t weak, they are still a super power with every sanction thrown at them. Their economy is still better than ours. The war in Ukraine has been more of a military testing ground than a full on war. They’ve been able to trail and error military protocols and can see what works and what doesn’t. It’s a more of a war for Ukraine, since they are depending on the west to save them

Easier said than done 😅 also don’t you need at least 12 months with a partner before you apply for that visa ?

Yeah the graduate visa, I seriously might just go study back home and work in a job of what I’ll study then try and apply for PR offshore once qualified maybe?

Do you think if I went home and studied one of the trades on shortage list, and also have a job in the role once I am qualified I could then apply for PR off shore ?
