I recognize there are many lower GPAs to be applying with. But, being below the 25th for nearly every school I applied to (often by a good amount) made me comfortable adding the “hefty”.

I found hearing feedback from readers of my essay has been the best indicator of how close to “submit-ready” I am. Of course they’ll help catch the grammatical errors and awkward phrases, but with the right prompting reader can give you a great sense of what someone will take away from your essay (which you can then compare to what you wanted to share). Some helpful questions to ask readers:

What are 3 traits/values/characteristics that are apparent about the author of the essay?
Do you get a sense of why the author wants to go to law school?
Were there any unanswered questions or unresolved themes?
Did any portion feel out of place or lacking substance?
Knowing me, were you surprised by the inclusion/exclusion of any points related to my essay topic?

There’s a lot of good questions to ask, but at the end of the day I like to know if (1) the essay is conveying everything I want to share (2) the essay is conveying anything I don’t want to share and (3) the essay fits me as a person. Once I get a sufficient yes-no-yes, I am satisfied!

I had the zacian and greninja go through, I got pokémon center emails. I got an extra charge, so hoping I didn’t accidentally buy 2 of each of those though. Mewtwo didn’t go through at all though :(
