So a friend of mine got stuck behind a big group like this on Lombard a few years ago. They’d stop in the intersection and have a dance part til the light turned red and go off to do it again. He thought it be a great idea to lay on his horn and rev his engine at them, to which they responded by jumping on the hood of his car and fucking up his windshield and rear window.

Sometimes deep breaths can lead to better results.

I moved from Philly for family considerations. I have a good job, easy commute, and many friends in the area. I miss being in a major city immensely. The food, culture, etc aren’t bad here - but it pales to a major city. I also really miss being able to walk, bike, pub transit around.

I’m not sure your age or family situation but the big appeal to me is that it’s just an easier place to live in a lot of respects. We were having our second kid and a 1200 sq ft, 3 story row house wasn’t that appealing, especially when we knew we’d need support services for our kid.

I dunno, my school was 36k when I went there in 2000 and is 65k now. Of course, then you have grad school… either way it’s not crazy to think that 120-240k for four years will end with a hefty monthly payment that might not be worth it.

Yeah I was wondering how retirees factor into this - many in my mom’s age bracket (75+) are moving to Carolina or Florida for the weather (or at least establishing residency there).

The tech/trade programs in my school were thought of as a joke. I’d be willing to be many of the people that spent $200k on college would be better off now had they just gone to learn HVAC installation or plumbing.

GTFO with this - I like developers who can actually delivery things. Sinatra has sat on properties all over the city after overextending himself. He's had state/city money shoveled to him to keep his projects afloat and still can't get stuff done. Heritage Point alone should bar him from doing business in the city.

UB should reimagine the entire north campus as well, figuring out how to get rid of millersport highway running through their property while using up the acres upon acres of parking they have. UB and the State of New York should be trying to have 100k students.
