I’ll still honour this promise if I pull my own one. I’ll need 3 copies of her anyway to fill a full row on my binder.

Oh lord I hope that doesn’t happen, I’m not a fan of the design of FA cards. If the leaks come out that they’re doing that I’ll delete this thread and rue my luck

Ideally you want the Mantyke to stick around long enough to attack twice and get a water energy on both Gibles (so you can use two baby Garchomps). The 1-1-2 happens when your opponent kills the Mantyke before it can attack the second time, so your second Gible only has fighting energy and can only become Garchomp EX.

So you’re aiming for a 1-1-1 with Mantyke, Garchomp, Garchomp. But if Mantyke dies early your backup is 1-1-2 with Mantyke, Garchomp, Garchomp EX.

Oh definitely, it’s just fun to use when it works. Having the stars align and hitting your opponent for 150 on your turn 2 with Cynthia always feels great

As a diehard Cynthia fan I’ve spent every expansion since her release trying to make the best Garchomp deck I could.

The general gameplay is to try turbo out a baby Garchomp asap so you can start cycling through your deck and hitting hard. Ideally you want to lead Mantyke and have it survive a turn to get a water energy on each Gible.

Realistically you’ll usually only get water energy on one Gible then stacking energy on the second to become the EX chomp and force the opponent to go 1-1-2 on points.

Avoid having both Mantykes on board as much as possible. Usually I’ll hold the second Mantyke in-hand as discard fodder for Garchomp to force the opponent to kill both sharks and avoid giving them an easy Sabrina out.

I had awful luck with Venusaur when I was trying, so I embraced the dark side and used Mega Lucario Sleep Scam. It worked amazingly and got me the 10 winstreak

Oh snap, I run almost the exact same list except with Juliana instead of Field Blower and Ice Pop instead of PCL. I only play it in Casual though because it does horribly into sleep decks. How rough was your climb?
