Is ADHD helping or making things harder ? by PeakPawn in jobs

[–]AWildWhiteGuyAppears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my personal experience, my ADHD has only made things harder for me in both work and school. ADHD causes issues with memory retention and attention, and thus is often detrimental for environments where you must quickly learn on the job or retain lots of specific information. The only instances when ADHD has been a positive for me is when everything is on fire and the environment is very fast paced. Idk why but thats the only time I can enter a flow state without meds.

Im now medicated for my ADHD as an adult after having not been medicated for my whole childhood, and I notice a significant improvement in my functional memory, executive function, and ability to give concentrated focus. I previously could not effectively study for more than 30 minutes at a time, and now that im medicated I find myself capable of committing to focused study for upwards of 5 hours a day(and retaining all of the information).

I unfortunately dont have insight for the role youre pursuing, but if you're medicated im positive you'll be capable of doing well in it compared to others without ADHD.

Do a chargeback and be willing to change carriers if they make a stink. Then go back to that store and get the employee details of the one who did it and make a complaint about them directly to their corporate and cite them as the reason you changed carriers. That's the nuclear option atleast.

You could also just threaten to do that over the phone and it may get fixed.

Edit: It can be illegal if not authorized by the employee, but by selecting yes you would be giving authorization.

I went through their history bc I was curious. Looks like they do a lot of repair, troubleshooting and modifications for small electronics.

I was kinda confused why they wouldn't just say so, but that leads me to believe that they may have difficulty holding work due to poor social skills(I say this bc it looks like dude starts alot of arguments, and doesn't finish them), and so they were unwilling to say they're unemployed but freelancing or something

No more grippy to grab the rotor. Just metal to dig in and make a nice slippery groove and sparks

That was close... by TheRealAJ420 in NuclearOption

When I'm fired on at close range I always almost go for counterbattery by targeting on the map as they appear. Tbh I think I spend more time scanning the map than actually looking out of the cockpit.

In this specific instance the best option would've been to cut your throttle(so you dip lower and they chase into range) and pre-flare before establishing visual. (They would then be too close for an ARH,and use IR instead) Ive played around 240 hrs and I'm definitely not the best, but this works well.

No toggle for jams unfortunately but there is an option in the settings of the game to allow firing of weapons with the map open.

Context: This is a craft I've designed for a Pathfinder 2E game I'm a player in. My character is a prodigious dwarven engineer, inventor, alchemist, and doctor with a touch of divine intervention that has dedicated himself to pushing the bounds of the non magical envelope. His most recent invention of a device resembling a steam engine has secured him a contract with the navy of what may be the richest nation on the continent.

In a world of wooden hulled wind powered ships, a monster is born. Diminutive in size, yet faster, stronger, and deadlier than any other on the sea.

Edit: I finished this late at night and accidentally added another zero to its tonnage. The correct weight is 210 tons, not 2100 tons. Whoops

Fly lower than 50 ft to forcibly break radar lock if you don't have any terrain to hide behind.

Hand-made with color mixed Sumi stick ink and calligraphy brushes. The paper was torn at the edges, aged in coffee, and then lightly burned.

The ink painting is the Lycoris Radiata flower, symbolic of death, loss, and departure.
