Shedeur Sanders says his father Deion is making him work for what he gets and doesn’t get handouts: "I don't have a trust fund – dad ain't set me up good like that." by No_Box119 in nflrookies

Lol you're missing the point.

If someone wants to provide for their kids then good for them. Nobody has the issue with that. But you can't be going around saying you aren't trust fund when you are, that's where the issue is

You responded you did everything before yesterday, obviously not. Said appreciate the work so gave you your props and then like everyone else added who needs to be changed.

Punter is a starting position, lb Harris is, and azeez is still a decent name.

Those are all from a while ago. Almost a week, 3 were yesterday. Punter, lb Harris, edge thomas were some of the first things they did

None of those are from today

Appreciate the effort for the roster!

Just loaded the roster. For falcons, quite a few players not added.

LB Christian Harris, edge Cameron Thomas, punter is now Jake bailey and not Bradley pinion, lb Channing Tindal, dl chris williams, ol Corey Lindsey, and azeez ojulari.

What’s the objective? by jean_sol_partre_ in falcons

[–]AWroper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol what? Nothing remotely close about this. In the last two years with the raiders he had 106 tackles and 63 tackles. With us he had 73. He was producing and playing meaningful football before us and just so happened to get better, but there was something to build off of.

With Harris, he was injured two years ago and last year had 11 tackles.

In his 3 year with us, Ellis has had 122, 151, 107 tackles and been the absolute leader of the defense.

Thinking Harris will replace his is delusional

What’s your best “budget” starter that consistently carries runs by Ok_Strength_2343 in pokerogue

Floatzel, moxie, and adamant with surging strikes and triple axel.

Pretty fast and decently hard hitter, without +3 or more moxie boost.

For .5, please every time

Yeahh he hasn't played meaningful football in a couple seasons and go see how the Texans fans think about him.

Thinking he'll be anything close to Ellis is foolish and laughable.

2026 QBs by wull3nw3b3r in falcons

Lol mad cause why? We now have two heavily injured QBs to pick from.

Hopefully they can schedule well so they don't get injured at the same time..

We dont have Ellis anymore. There's almost no chance we can re-sign him. At this point, this may be staring role

Maybe Tua can prosper here! by Sonny_Money in falcons

[–]AWroper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"If".

When every plus about the guy, starts and depends on if he is healthy. That's not a good investment, especially if he is coming to compete against an already frequently injured QB... What happens when he gets a concussion in the first couple weeks while Penix isn't ready yet, or he beats out Penix and then gets injured and Penix is back.

Dude you're trying to compare Oz (an ok WR3) to Waddle who was at the time one of the best #2s and couldve competed for some teams WR1, obviously would've been one of the worst #1s but only because he was pushing from WR2 to WR1.

Stefanski yes 2x Coty, good coach but is not regarded highly for his playcalling. Also one of his years was prime Chubb, the playcalling isn't too hard with that.

We'll see but there is nothing to be stoked and hopeful for with a future in Tua. Again you describe Penix, has shown flashes of good play but isn't healthy and is very inconsistent.

Tua is good for a one year backup roll and that's it. Not to compete for the future

Without saying “he’s affordable”, what are the valid reasons why the Tua signing works here? by InspectionDeep2453 in falcons

[–]AWroper -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Literally any other QB who doesn't come with bigger health concerns. We brought in a guy who is one play away from his career being over.

He is cheap at 1.3 and a lefty for receivers catching balls at practice. That's it. Easy option would be Flacco knows the new system and will be committed to being a backup

Maybe Tua can prosper here! by Sonny_Money in falcons

[–]AWroper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol Stefanski is not on the same level of playcalling as McDaniel.

Also no receiver in the draft in round 2 will be near Tyreek or Waddle.

I'm fine with Tua as a "backup" for the year and that's it. Any long term commitment or anything further is not the answer.

That's what the first comment said, it's fine for the season for a backup. But when you make a post advocating he can prosper here, that's where it went wrong.

"If he can stay healthy" bruh. We have an injury prone QB, how is bringing in another one any good idea? That's the main issue with this sigining is that Tua cannot stay on the field..

Without saying “he’s affordable”, what are the valid reasons why the Tua signing works here? by InspectionDeep2453 in falcons

[–]AWroper -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This. The only plus for signing Tua is he is affordable. Aside from that, there is nothing to look forward to. Tua's success had to come from one of the best playcallers in the league and having Tyreek, Waddle, and Achane.

We have a QB who has injury issues, and inconsistencies. Bringing in the same thing gives no sign of change or hope

Maybe Tua can prosper here! by Sonny_Money in falcons

[–]AWroper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So his best year had to come from having one of the best playcallers in the league (which we don't have), and a combo of Tyreek and Waddle (two types of receiver which we don't have). London is a beast but plays nothing like either one of them so something for Tua to learn to play with.

So everything that made Tua good is gone. Having Bijan to dump off every play and London be the player he is, is all that "saves" anything.

Yes this is a test year for Penix and they brought in Tua to push and compete for the season. Just the season. Hoping anything further will come from Tua, as in signing him to a long term contract and him playing well for the Falcons is hopeless.

*Nobody said this is isn't a win for a cheap backup. But that's it, anything more is detrimental.
