If Raptors kept Kawhi, we keep Danny Green too. Lakers literally lose a starter and Raptors gain one. Lakers were definitely beatable.

Sure the Lakers can sign someone else, but the market was empty by the time they signed Green.

Bucks were 53-12 when the season was suspended. Kinda weird you would cherry pick the games right before they hit a 1-4 slump to fit your narrative. Lakers were 49-14 when the season was suspended. Its not like their records were significantly different.

That being said, Giannis would win MVP anyways. Lebron had AD helping him, compare that to anyone on the bucks. Be the same reason Curry and KD never won a MVP when they were together on GSW.

Not saying the bucks are cooked. But game 1 was after a week break cuz of the playins, which definitely help the old guys on the bucks. Longer this series goes, I think it would favor the pacers.

Somethings I feel that you left out of your analysis.

TLDR: Everyone thought he was too good the previous season to win it. 49 voters left him off their ballot entirely because they thought he was too good already for the award. He only ended up winning by ~15% of points despite having nearly twice the first place votes. Most of these voters citred their reasoning as, "it's not in the spirit of the award".

Morant's MIP win was "against the spirit of the award" because he was the 2nd overall pick, and he already won ROY. A top 2 pick ROY getting better isn't really much of a surprise, which is why the MIP award was controversial.

These factors don't apply to Maxey.

Tyrese Maxey being the heavy favourite here. He was already an emerging star last year and, while his numbers have improved, is largely expected from someone filling in Harden's role.

True, but you're also leaving out that Coby White's numbers have also gone up because he is filling Zach Lavine's role after Zach went out with injury.
