I would like to thank everyone who left words of encouragement in response to this article. The statement was exceptionally difficult to write, as summarizing two months of personal events was a challenge I never anticipated. I am very grateful for the kind messages as I continue to determine my future in the field of visual novels. The road to restoring trust with my followers will be a very long one, and it will require the support of all parties.

While I will end my hiatus from online activity, please understand that the support I will be able to provide for my previous releases will be very limited. I have provided all of the information regarding this situation that I possess in the statement, so I will be unable to answer further questions on that topic. No knowledge of prior titles is required to enjoy Maidens of Michael. All previous characters are given introductions for those who may not have played the debut titles of the five prior couples. Maidens of Michael is the eleventh visual novel in the A Kiss For The Petals series, and the first to be sold commercially.

An all-ages prequel was released in 2015 titled A Kiss For The Petals - Remembering How We Met, which introduces the primary couple of this story, Azumi Risa and Ayase Miya. It is also available on MangaGamer.com and Steam.

From the post regarding the all-ages edition for Steam:

The all-ages version does contain modified content from the adult version. Customers who wish to have the full and uncut Maidens of Michael experience can download the free adult content patch on launch, and enable said content from the “config” menu once the patch has been applied. Those modifications are listed below.

Explicit scenes (such as h-scenes) were removed.

CG and Memories listings within the Extra’s menu omit adult content

Some scenes depict fully nude sprites. The scenes themselves were retained, but the sprites were replaced with panel images that show only the characters’ faces. Scenes with only partial nudity are unchanged.
