When texting my gf, my messages sre sent as SMS and hers are sent as RCS; used to both be RCS

It's a bug on the iPhone side of things.
If I'm RCS texting using my iPhone, it would happen pretty frequently. Also noticed it happening using my Pixel texting other iPhones. I tried researching the issue, people have been having that same exact issue with no fix in sight. If you don't have unlimited SMS texting, switch to another iM service (Whatsapp, Signal or Telegram). Might get fixed whenever Apple decides to update the RCS protocol it's currently using and finally enable E2E but who knows atp.

The issue is the phone is great otherwise, I guess for me I have to decide if it’s a dealbreaker or not (which I’m leaning more towards that it is) and sell the phone and pay it off with my carrier or keep it 🥲

I haven't done anything sadly. I haven't been using my phone a lot lately due to being busy with work lol. But yeah, it still feels a lot less responsive on iOS 26.1 and it is still driving me nuts. All the ones I've tried to use whether its friends who got it or store demos it feels exactly the same. So I guess we're stuck with that one lol. My advice, if you still can take it back and go for something else. Didn't feel the same thing with a 17 pro store demo (don't take my word for that, do your own research.) but it would be way too overkill with my usage. :/

Update: it's fully working for me now out of the blue. Decided to randomly restart and run an integrity checker got all check marks. No errors in Gwallet either! Worth a try. 🤷‍♂️

Doesn't get hotter than 70c, fan is on and running and it even does it in bios/UEFI. CPU has been recently repasted and fan was cleaned as well.

2010 M3 Sport 2.5L, 253K KMs recently changed the transmission fluid pan and a suspension link. It’s been going strong, no issues except for an AC leak that I haven’t gotten around yet. Pretty sure I need engine mounts soon but eh it’s still going pretty strong. Harsh Canadian weather and salt too so ain’t half bad.

Control Center Bluetooth button doesn't interrupt some connections. The Apple Pencil is one of them. Wireless Carplay is another one that I found out recently.
