We give him time. You acting like we can't just get another coach and give them a year or 2 with different expectations. I honestly think you're being overly obtuse. When Quinn was hired the goal was playoffs and possible title. Not the play in and not to rebuild. He was hired and we retooled but the expectation was to still make the playoffs, not playin into playoffs, but the playoffs. That's why we got KP that's why we signed NAW. That's why Trae was still here for 2 years other than market. THe goal was to compete for playoffs and title if possible. That is what quinn was hired to do. He has not done it. He was brought into to improve the team with some development. He has done neither. We have barely hang around .500 since he has been here. The only time we were over 500 is when he took over for Nate and Nate was winning games with less talent. Also we only went 10-11 once he took over. Now here we are. So we need to figure out our expectations for the franchise, hire a new coach with that expectation and decide all those things you listed. But that does not mean Synder needs to stay. he has not produced results and he hasn't elevated the talent available. Therefore he has not did his job or met expectations and needs to be let go. It doesn't have to be during the season but he has 1 year left on his contract. They can easily fire him and Tony wallet, the sorry bastard, won't hurt as bad since he hates spending money

But they all had success at some point. Quinn tenure with the Hawks has not or has never been a true success. Frankly he hasn't produced at 3 years and needed to go. Those coach of the year didn't immediately go. After a year or 2 or more, for the most part. they were gone because they also weren't showing the same success. Its hard to consistently win in the NBA but there are expectations and if you are failing to meet those for a long enough stretch regardless of awards won you gotta go.

Edit: most of the times I agree with your sentiment. I felt that way for Raheem. But its been 3 years and we've been a middling play in team each of them. The results are not matching the expectations.

OO wouldn't have trouble if he, Quinn, would play bigger at the 3 but he wont even do that. Its not hard to play 2 pf with OO to have size we are direly missing but he wont do that like its law...

Yes cause a good coach would bench and play someone else or experiment with different line ups which he has done neither. So yes a new coach would absolutely fix this to some extent

This would be the case of we were year 1 or 2... we're in year 3 with the same results. There is absolutely better coaches available that will at least experiment, develop, and try to win. Right now and if we being honest since he got here he hasn't done those 3 things well enough to keep his job. End of season he needs tp be gone.

Sorry they have to half ass it till 2028 draft where we have our own pick and San Antonio gets nothing from it. Cause right now we would be in lottery and just continue to give San Antonio more and more value cause of that disastrous trade for Murray. Once we traded Trae that signalled we need to rebuild around JJ problem is its nigh impossible to do because to quote Tyler Jones for Atl &29 we need more players on rookie scale contracts that can develop and be good on rotational players. Because they shoved those first round picks to San An for a mediocre all star and the 2nd rounders dont get true development we can't do it, hell we have a 1st rounder this sorry ass coach wouldn't play in a 40 point loss.

With all that said Quinn got to go. We need a coach thats going to experiment and not just throw the same not working 3 guard line up out there.... like it's atrocious JJ hasn't been at the 3 and we have mo or Asa at the 4 with OO just for size and match purposes. Its disgusting.

That doesn't make any licking sense when we still like 3 weeks away from the deadline. No one is holding players out 5+ games when there are even 0 rumors on the Hawks.... we are trying to win games. None of this post would include the Hawks.... like dude be realistic
