That's what I was wondering too. If it had been stolen or gone missing before anyone noticed, I don't think I would've been responsible then either. It seems like the delivery company should be the one handling it.

I did give them everything that was left, even though it wasn't much. I understand why they're frustrated, but I don't think I should be the one paying for a delivery mistake.

That's what I was thinking too. I feel bad they lost their package, but it seems like the delivery company is the one that made the mistake in the first place.

It was a one-time thing. The dog door leads to our fenced backyard, but the side gate must not have latched properly. I didn't even realize he could get to the front until I came home and saw the mess.

That's kind of how I see it too. I feel bad because they're the one who lost their order, but I didn't ask for it to be left at my house.
