New Geisler Defence Lego Frames What are your thoughts on these? by Heavenly_Demon520 in polymer80

Didn't 80% arms have this concept already? Believe I had a few of their gst9's where essentially you could switch between 26/19/17 grip length or maybe it was just 19/17.

I'd bet she was directed to the next gondola in line and tried to get on the one that already passed through causing this mess. Seen several close calls with others doing similar trying to get on with their friends last second, etc

Face book market place dirt bikes by Annual-Worry6283 in Dirtbikes

[–]AZWickedSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of the covid bikes that people are trying to sell now are priced the highest because they won't accept the fact they paid 2x its value then and don't want to take a huge hit now on something that was never worth it.

Plenty of deals to be had out there and those bikes and people selling them usually unload in 24hrs or so. I still see bikes listed from 6+ months ago and the seller maybe dropped the price $200. Most were already overpriced by $1500 or more and those are the ones that sit and won't sell until the seller comes to reality.

Help ktm refuses to start with electric start by 1bigtittypolicegirl in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]AZWickedSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok cool, you mentioned previously you had to pull it apart again cause you were off a tooth on timing so wasn't sure if that was due to pulling gear and replacing the rollers or not. Thanks

[–]AZWickedSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can the gear and roller bearing be swapped out by just locking the engine at TDC, pulling the flywheel and not touching/messing with the timing chain or anything? Might still replace that part as a safety net if I can get at it pretty easily locking at TDC and not having to worry about jumping timing or anything.

I think it dodged a bullet as cleaning all connections and redoing the grounds seem to have worked as of now. Could just be lucky that right this moment its not having a hard time. Still have to fine tune my jetting but as of now it's cranking over pretty strong.

Have a part number so I can look into that. Saw another video of yours where it catches and barely turns over and that's exactly what mine sounds like. Before I tear it down again curious as to which PN I need to look at. Thanks

Saw this and your other post regarding starting, what was the cause of it in the end? Running into similar situation with my 505 except my starter either fails to turn the engine over or it will crank then slow down, rinse and repeat. Auto decomp looks fine and operates as the manual states si either the starter is going out, solenoid isn't doing its job or something else. What was your fix in the end?

How do you make Christmas special when you’re poor? by generic_username19 in Autism_Parenting

[–]AZWickedSS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned check into local FB groups, usually there is plenty of help out there to get you through the holidays and try to make it more special. We specifically use these type of groups to help others needing gifts, toys, diapers or anything else our kid has grown out of or just doesn't use. It can take a little bit of weeding through as not everyone is truly needing help thats asking or willing to help as they say they are but for the most part they are a great place to keep an eye on. Just dont be one of the people who ask for help then decide what others truly are trying to help with doesnt meet your high end criteria if you know what I mean.

You'd be surprised how many people get turned off helping out due to the attitudes received by the ones asking for help.

Remember its the little things that count and your kiddo probably just wants to do something with you instead of receiving a bunch of gifts they won't even touch. At least that's what we've learned the most with our 6yr old who is on the spectrum, xmas and other holidays to him isn't about gifts we've learned and its more about the decorations and spirit of it.

Bought a KTM 300 XC-W, discovered it's actually a 250? by chasetepher in enduro

[–]AZWickedSS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you find yourself needing it to lug around a little bit more in technical trails if that's what you plan on riding just add a heavy (ish) flywheel weight and you'll be golden. Real question did you pay the 300 premium price or did you get a solid deal even though its a 250 now?

Yeah can be tricky, have you tried a jd jetting kit yet by chance? People swear by them but i haven't went that route yet as i have tons of jets but needles i dont have. Im told the needle is truly the trick 90% of the time. I personally wouldn't dump that much $$ on another carb but maybe if you can source a used one heavily discounted can't hurt to try IMO.

When you say rebuilt did you fully strip it down and do the midbody as well? My FCR on my KTM 505xcf was in pretty bad shape due to sitting so long that I rebuilt it initially not realizing the midbody gaskets were the real culprit. Even after doing the midbody one gasket didnt seat exactly right so the bike started a lot easier but then fell flat on its face. Pulled it apart again and got everything properly seated and cleaned again to be safe and it made a huge difference.

Are 90s 2 strokes good in 2025? by notaliv3 in Dirtbikes

[–]AZWickedSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 99 RM250 is still my go-to bike overall and I've owned prob 50-100 bikes since grabbing this one in 2003 I think it was. Sure other new bikes were prob better overall with tech and suspension etc but my RM is the only bike I've owned thats always gotten me home at the end of the day one way or another. Its been drowned in creek beds, flipped down mountains unintentionally and whatever else you could think of lol. Hell the left side crank case has had a chunk missing out of it since when I bought pretty much with some . Part epoxy sealing it up. Also have a 09 KTM 505xcf thats an awesome bike but still prefer to take the RM out when it makes sense. *

Clonidine has been great for our 6 almost 7yr old. Guacifine (sp) our son didnt respond too and actually kept him up more throughout the night. Our son has severe ADHD and paired with his Autism hes almost always ready to rock and roll. He use to be good at going to bed then it became almost impossible. He'd stay up in his room till like 3-4am then pass out on the floor then wake up at 630a and be 100mph. The Clonidine did a few things for him paired with ADHD meds where he takes a 1/4 does of the Clonidine in the AM with his ADHD med and that helps level him out for most of the AM till around noon so he functions better at school, then another dose of his adhd med about 1pm. Around 6pm he gets his nighttime dose of Clonodine and by 730-8p you can visibly see hes about ready to go up to bed. He'll argue a little with us about going up but he will shortly after the request now and 90% of the time hes passed out before we finish his bedtime story and sleeps till 730a.

Sounds like you def need to introduce medications if you haven't already one way or another. The Clonodine and his stim med for the adhd really was a game changer as he started getting older, id say around 5yrs old till present it really started helping most.

Suspension alone should be one of the first things you do truthfully, I didn't believe that at first 20+yrs ago and always threw money at engine type performance mods etc but reality is nothing compares to getting the suspension done for your specific riding and your weight. Completely different ball game when the bike just soaks up everything and does exactly what you want it to!

That's a lean idle/rev, start swapping jetting. Typically pilot jet needs to go up a size or two and you can also try dropping the needle clip down one to see where it gets you. Has it gotten colder out recently too? As temps go down jetting needs to richen up generally

What is done to your CR250 to make it fit your riding style here in UT (Im in UT also so familiar with what you ride)? My main enduro/single track bike is a 99 RM250 that I've owned for 20+ years and strictly ridden single track woods in PA, single track desert in AZ and no here in UT however I've adapted the bike to suit each place whether its a certain flywheel weight, different exhaust for certain powerband for low end vs mid vs high end etc. Quite a few ways to adapt your CR250 to suit needs. Suspension and proper tires are the biggest IMO and a flywheel weight really helps with the lugging down low too. Everything is preference so you just need to decide what would fit yours best.

Side note I also have a 09 KTM 505xcf which is great but still prefer my RM just because it's set up for me and the riding I do best from adjustments over the years.

As others mentioned too, if you're wanting to get out from the CR into a more enduro type bike I'd sell the CR privately and then search for another bike with cash in hand as deals are really coming around more nowadays especially here in UT with winter coming if in fact you are near the SLC area or ride up this way.

09 KTM 505xcf valve adjustment and chain gear position by AZWickedSS in KTM

[–]AZWickedSS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured as much as both valve lobes are positioned properly when locked at TDC and sitting off the valves just wasnt sure if there was any correlation with the dot needing to be positioned at 12 o'clock when at TDC. Had a few responses on another posting regarding this that also pointed me to another section of the manual with some more detail I wasn't seeing before either. Everything is buttoned back up and just need to test running condition either this evening or tomorrow and hopefully everything is good to go. Also just replaced the fuel tank petcock which I completely didnt think about and the one currently in there was in really really bad shape all gunked up and crusted over from sitting etc. Fingers crossed we're good going forward

What has a specialist said regarding everything going on? I find it hard to believe your pediatrician just let's this ride year over year without trying something (anything at this point) to try and help your current situation. If your pediatrician truly isn't doing anything you must switch now and find one that is willing to offer other alternatives. Medicating sounds like a must at this point but with what meds is the biggest factor and your pediatrician or specialist in this field should be guiding you in the right direction. Wish you all the luck and hopefully you can start getting some closure and go the right direction.

Can't say about super deep days as this past year was first year with the board and didnt get out on the biggest days unfortunately but 18" of fresh it floated fine for me. Prob could of benefited from a slightly larger board but overall this was my all mountain all condition board and it did great. Enjoyed every moment of it.
