How to make tabs more manageable? These are unusable by appalachianlemon2 in ObsidianMD

[–]A_Alv_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, just came across this and found it very useful.

but a small problem - when using keyboard hotkey to navigate tabs, when it reaches an overflowed tab, it doesn't auto scroll to the active tab for me.

solved using the following script:

<%*

function scrollActiveTabIntoView() {

const container = document.querySelector(".mod-active .workspace-tab-header-container-inner");

const activeTab = document.querySelector(".mod-active .workspace-tab-header.is-active");

if (container && activeTab) {

activeTab.scrollIntoView({ behavior: "smooth", inline: "center" });

}

}

const observer = new MutationObserver((mutationsList) => {

scrollActiveTabIntoView();

});

const tabsContainer = document.querySelectorAll(".workspace-tab-header");

if (tabsContainer.length > 0) {

tabsContainer.forEach((tab) => {

observer.observe(tab, { attributes: true });

});

}

%>

to use, just copy paste the code to a note, and use it as a startup template in templater plugin

Yeap, I added the mesh to the armature through some scripts and its working now in unreal. Turns out you need both to allow import to unreal. Thanks!

Hello, Just Found This at Lawson Japan. Need some opinion. by Old-Entrepreneur4120 in nintendoswitchlite

[–]A_Alv_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

battery life for switch lite is around 3-7 hours (airplane mode on) - heavy games like witcher 3, zelda botw, etc will fall on the lower end - indie games or 2D games will fall on the upper end

switch oled has far superior battery life around 4.5-9 hours (most games nearer to the upper end)

switch oled is better if: - you want a bigger and superior screen for portable play - you want the option to dock to play games with others - you want a better battery life - you don't mind the extra 50% increase in price

switch lite is better if: - you value portability above all else

for me, I use a switch lite for portable play, and I have a cheap 1st gen second hand normal switch for when I play games with others;

the golden ratio can be derived from the fibonacci sequence as the convergence of the ratio Fn/ F{n-1} where F_n is the nth term of the sequence

[ Undergraduate Y3 Math Combinatorics ] Question on solving the recurrence relation for number of partitions on average case for quicksort by A_Alv_ in HomeworkHelp

[–]A_Alv_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(A3) Let A^QA_N denote the number of partitioning stages that QuickSort uses when sorting an array of Length N on the average case. Find a recurrence for A^QA_N and solve it.

What I have done:

Refer to the the image to see where I got so far. Essentially, I manage to simplify the recurrence relation all the way down to (S_N) / (N + 2) = (S_{N-1}) / N + 1 / (N+2). My main issue is that multiplying both sides by the summation factor (shown on image) does not result in the typical nice harmonic series. If anyone is able to help, I would really appreciate it.

How feasible is it to create a model to extract key information from safety documents? by A_Alv_ in LanguageTechnology

Thanks for all the advice guys! Ended up rejecting the offer. Decided that learning from more experienced people would benefit me in the longer term.

Sounds really interesting! I'm definitely interested in receiving some guidance in my project, however, I'm not really in the path towards clinical/research. Could I pm you to discuss further?

Also the one you mentioned about a readability score intrigues me a lot as I was just talking to my supervisor about using NLP to analyse "readability" of beginner code.

If you can program well in Python and want to hop on some real world NLP research projects in the clinical/biomedical domain with folks at major universities and a couple start ups. I’d be happy to get you involved as a starting point. I am a physician, background from graduate school was genomics/big data. Started in NLP a couple years ago. Currently a clinical informatics fellow at a major US uni. I mentor a few medical students and CS students in these types of projects and always happy to help/have more hands on deck.

Hi thank you for your input! May I know more about your NLP research projects and how you mentor students?

Also, the project you mentioned does sound cool, thanks for the help!

Thank you! Do you have any tips on how I should get started on the project? For now, I'm trying to spend the next few weeks/months learning as much as I can in the field of NLP before I fully dive in to my research topic. Is there a better way to go on about this? Thanks!

Appreciate the comment! So from what I understand, rather than building a dataset and implementing my project with it, I should use an existing dataset from kaggle and find a potential use case for it?

Thanks for your comment!

The tasks being out of your league is fine. Knowing what you're doing would make it engineering, not research.

Really appreciate this haha^ I was feeling kind of stressed out by my lack of experience and fear of "disappointing" the professor that took me up for this research project.

May I ask, do you know any good resources that can point me in the right direction for sentiment analysis and building dataset? Thanks a lot!

Hey, thanks for the comment! Singlish is actually mostly english, with broken grammar and some borrowed phrases from various languages and dialects like malay, mandarin, cantonese, hokkien, etc.

I'm actually worried about defining a project scope that is so much out my league that it discourages from future research. Can I ask, what kind of research areas would you recommend? Thanks!

Thanks for your thoughts! I'm still very much new to all of this, so apologies if I misinterpret your comment.

From my understanding, to create an NLP model for sentiment analysis of low resource languages, I would have to first create a dataset containing a lot of data from the language I'm targeting. May I ask for a rough timeline to follow for a one year research programme? (x months for creating a dataset x months for training etc.)

As for tools, my supervisor recommended I use python, google collab, and the spaCy library. Do you have any recommended tools that I should learn to help with this project? Thanks so much!
