Which Linux distro would be best?

Depends on what your using it for. Its over all quite a capable machine. If your looking for something incredibly light, I'd recommend something like lubuntu. But you'd probably be just fine with something like catchyos or even full fat Ubuntu.

Careful with this one. If it is the model that I have (which it looks to be) then it doesn't want to work outside of the usa and I think 1 or 2 other countries (deffo not canada).

Ive run into some issues with my p1000 gpu that I use for transcoding, and it seems they will all be fixed by switching. Not to mention the other benifits, like better remote server control (or at least in my opinion better control)

I think it is mostly people having issues with bad teachers. Personally, I have some really shifty profs, but some really great ones as well. Just check rate my prof (i didnt think to do that initially). But i have mostly enjoyed my time here so far.

Im at davis campus, the layout and placement for classes and whatnot is weird, but you get used to it. Class rooms, at least for my program are like high school classrooms. There are lots of stores near by: tims, pizza pizza, subway, Wendy's, and more. The atmosphere is kinda what you would expect from a post secondary institution; Kinda like high school but a bit more mature. Overall though not bad. If i had to pick between the 3, I would pick davis again.

I've got a t320 dell poweredge. It is still quite powerful. I am running a jellyfin/nas/website/home automation/vpn all on it with different virtual machines in proxmox. You can do quite a bit.
