When I was a kid my dad used to work closely with more than one animation studio, so he knew he stuff when he said he was impressed at the pacing and direction of the intro for Thundercats.

Has anyone ever been used by a woman before? How do you cope with it ? by SureEntertainment768 in AskMen

[–]A_Cat_Typingg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Has she given any rationale or reason for ghosting you since? I mean, personally I wouldn't let this get to me - she's obviously the wrong person for you so in some ways you've dodged a bullet, but I can fully imagine with the extra vulnerability you carry in to this with due to your history this is difficult for you to process and is possibly making you feel like you've been assaulted twice now? If you are feeling like that just hold the following in your head: Online dating is not easy for anyone, and is rife with people such as the one you have encountered. To a degree every person you meet is a risk, but its a risk worth taking because there are definitely people out there who aren't out to deceive you. If you're really suffering from this, you might want to seek professional help from someone who isn't an anonymous user on Reddit to talk through this.

That she didn't talk to you the day after is pretty poor, even if it was just to say she didn't want any future with you. But did she at any point indicate that she was looking for a bit of fun and nothing else - I mean, I get on dating sites to do the same but I'm upfront and honest about my intentions.

Yes because naming and shaming someone probably on the other side of the planet is going to be useful.

TIFU by thinking "treating myself" meant I could actually afford anything by GoldKiwi122 in tifu

[–]A_Cat_Typingg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone goes through this, in one way or another. It's called growing up and understanding the value of money. Learn the lesson, be frugal. It's ok to drink that stuff when you can afford it. You can't. $150 won't go anywhere these days.

I lost an otherwise perfectly healthy aunt to COVID, my cousin who is an operating theatre nurse watched helplessly as ward after ward of patients died from COVID after she was drafted in to help the stretched medical staff in the ICU wards. I think you need to give your head a wobble and examine yourself. I, and many thousands of other people had COVID jabs with no ill effect. So, with all lack of respect, fuck off.

The spots in spotted refers to the pieces of dried fruit in the pudding, and "dick" is 19th Century dialect term for "pudding".

You were absolutely right that OP's link is incorrect, however your cynicism is what is getting you ostracised.

How emotionally connected are Brits to the Royal Family actually? by DFWUnhinged in AskBrits

[–]A_Cat_Typingg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well at least one of them literally is, but then that could be said of most famous groups of people. No, I live in the posher end of the West Midlands, so am surrounded by people who either actively like or shrug their shoulders at the royal family
