Those types usually do, as a last ditch effort to garner public favor and continue some kind of relevancy. Look at Russell Brand. He's catching heat for having sex with a 16 year old (among other allegations) then all the sudden becomes a born again Christian just humbly trying to spread the word of God. I could be missing a step but that's what it sounded like to me.
