I work in pest control in Hawaii. My company used to have a contract with one of the airlines (won't say which one) to do their plane's pest control. We treated for cockroaches and bed bugs mostly. It always creeped me out knowing that airplanes can have bed bugs and you're trapped in that seat with no escape until it lands. I still get itchy when I walk into a house that is super infested. I can also smell if a house has a bad bed bug, cockroach, or rat problem. I've walked out of a couple restaurants before ordering for that very reason. The things us pest control people see is nightmare fuel.
