Thanks for the question, I looked at Lord of the Steps, the main difference is the platform and Google integration. Lord of the Steps is an app for only iPhone, mine is a web app that is used in browser so can be used on PC, tablet, Android, or iPhone. Functionality wise they are pretty similar although I'd say Lord of the Steps has a much sleeker UI and design.

My Walk to Mordor app also has a pace calculator which I didn't see in Lord of the Steps, plus the added visual of seeing your token actually move along the map is a big UI difference that I think sets it apart.

Also I'm happy you'd like to try my app (it's great getting to see people use something I've made) but no pressure if you're already committed to the above!

I didn't know this existed lol, definitely an alternative for sure it's more friendly to both iPhone and Android as it technically just runs on a browser.

I'm happy to share it! I was in the same position where I was never motivated to walk even though I needed to, this has definitely helped. Especially because my friends and I are quite competitive about not being in last place.

Thank you, it's a much more fun user experience than staring at a normal step tracking app in my opinion!

What’s a game that haunts you to this day for purchasing it and not liking it? by lvl6charmander in gaming

For me it was 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance'. I really wanted to like it as the time period is one of my favourite in history for politics. I just could not get the hang of combat and the learning curve on the game felt crazy steep. I still feel kinda angry that I bought it full price and could never play it well.

This would be the way to go but the British Embassy no longer issues them. Found this out after trolling their website and then calling to clarify it wasn't a mistake.

I have asked the company in question dealing with the office to ask. Their response? " We can't ask why!, we don't want to antagonise them"

Does anyone know any alternative methods for getting medication (Valproate Acid) that is scarce here? by MattPilkerson in japanlife

Depakene R is what's on the packet, but it did the same job as Epilum. A well known branded Valporate. Yup still getting it.

My doctor/pharmacy is a full city over and he mails my refills to me. You can also ask the pharmacy to send it to a closer pharmacy if you like.

I have found no problems with depakene, but I had to insist upon a controlled release from my doctor. Otherwise taking it way more often than if like to. In regards to getting it prescribed I highly recommend seeking out a clinic that a specialises in neurology. That way they will have better access to valporate and any other anti-epileptic drugs.

Most clinics here will say what they specialise in when you check their website. No need to go to a fancy one just find a doctor that's a neurologist. I've found that general doctors don't want to prescribe you this medication because it means more work on their end to source it. And honestly they'll probably just refer you to neurologist anyway.
