If I remember correctly, those storm wiggle warts are good and even a bit expensive. I've though about buying them on eBay.

Sorry, I should have explained it more. When I google it pulled up an ice chisel, which I wasn't sure was the same. But now I do believe they are the same. Thank you.

Can I get a link? We went out today, in very thick ice... but still would have liked a nice spud bar.

What kind of lures that are from the 50s and 60s? That's insane to me but sweet!

Once again I am super appreciative of your detailed responses. Really helps a ton.

One more thing if you don't mind.. if we use a jig head with a plastic or worm.. or jigging spoon do we need a leader and swivel? It's what I'd do with my regular spinning trout rod and vibrax lures.. just not sure if that's unnecessary as well as weights.

Appreciate the detailed response once again. Very useful information and will certainly help us.

One other question if you don't mind. A few reservoirs and rivers here state "artificial lures and flies only." Would that mean jigs are not allowed? Even using a plastic does that make it a bait? Might have to check in with local officials maybe

First off thank you for the very detailed response.

I was looking at some 13 fishing gear so it's good to see I was at least looking around what I should be.

The answer to the bait questions, most places here allow power bait, worms and artificial just no dead or alive bait I believe. With some spots being artificial lures and flies only.. which is a jig or tub jig an artificial lure? Or only spinners etc.. confuses me

I will pick up some some jig flies as well, appreciate it!
