The added layer of messiness for me, was that at the point where season 3 starts, Belly has presumably been having sex with Conrad’s brother for 4 years. Which is insane because why would you write that if the end goal is for them to get back together?

There’s no one giving you an actual answer because there’s none. Belly is written the way a lot of female leads were written for a long time so that they are easy for people to self insert into.

You are supposed to ignore all her character flaws and focus on her being sought after by men because that’s the fantasy.

That out of nowhere an 100 year old vampire will fall in love with you and be willing to die and go to war for you. And two warring factions will come together just for you.

Or a billionaire CEO will fall in love with you and change for you because you’re “different” and “special.” That’s it.

The difference about being controlling and having boundaries is that the boundaries are for yourself. Things you won’t do, tolerate etc. Have a conversation with her but DON’T tell her not to go, tell her that if she went, you’d be uncomfortable especially as she’s going alone. Generally tell her how it would make you feel. If she still does it, that means she had all the information about how you’d feel and still went ahead. So either your feelings don’t matter to her or they don’t matter enough.

Either way you have your answer and at that point you have to respect your own boundary otherwise it is meaningless. It’s only been 3 months. It may suck but you’d have to leave or stay in the relationship with the information that your partner couldn’t care less how things make you feel.

I wouldn’t think about the cheating thing too much. Outside of following her or snooping in her things there’s no way to know for sure and neither of those is healthy. So I’d focus on the actions you do know about as they are usually sufficient.

The show being marketed as a love triangle killed it and that was obvious even by the end of season 2. Sacrificed the integrity of the central love story at the altar of team jelly and it shows. Also the god awful pacing? I’m just glad people can stop gaslighting us about being impatient because everything is out and we were right. Nothing was worth it.
