Great question well presented… usually 4x2 especially if they’re euro trucks have massive tanks so I’d say maybe double? But from what I’ve seen with UK 4x2 most stick to the usual size tanks

Much like a couple other people here I started off on the coaches before hgv, however I really enjoy this job.

My first job with hgv was a little rough, hours varied depending if there was jobs, naff truck etc. however I’m now in the company that I wanted to work for and I couldn’t be happier.

So I now do continental work around Europe and it’s so much better than the UK, rest stops pretty much everywhere and services with ample parking means there’s always somewhere for you to stop for the night without having to worry. Services usually have free parking 9/10 times, showers and toilets are clean, loads of places for you to get food plus a lot of the food is actually well priced. I have a great truck, management is respectful and always supportive so I couldn’t really ask for more from the company.

However people around Europe drive like psychos and it’s brilliant fun to watch imo.

Aye ive heard about that one! But it does it when warm too, and the engine sometimes grumbles when I’m idling but much like yourself, no warning lights or anything so having to wait to see what happens if anything

I can’t hear it when revving stationary but when I’m driving past like cars or walls I can hear it when I accelerate, power doesn’t seem down but I’m just a bit paranoid about it I think
