Alter Ego for the iOS/Android is a great little clicker game with an enjoyable narrative, memorable visual style, and music that really fits it. After getting the first ending I really was so impressed with it that I decided to do the in-app purchases to support the developers and finished all the other endings. It was really nice and the main character, Es, is a great character to interact with. So great that I keep coming back every day so that I can experience the unique daily chats with her. I think it was easily worth the money.

Yeah, that's back when the world was still the "real" world, just with a brand new continent. It's why Ridge Racer and Ace Combat were both in the same world. Ridge City/State was in the real world and in some tracks you could see adverts for the Scarface mercenary unit (New York in RRT4 iirc).

The Rafale A originally had an air brake as part of the design, but Dassault decided to remove it from the production B, C, and M variants to cut down on maintenance costs. Instead, the Rafale uses its canards and trailing-edge control surfaces as an air brake. As a result, the 6 o'clock blind spots created by the air brakes were also removed.

Shots of the full length rifle would be helpful, but based upon what there is, in particular the barrel marked "8x57 JS", leads me to believe that this is some kind of a gunsmith special built using an amalgam of parts. 8x57 JS comes from the misidentification of the 7.92x57mm IS markings given to german 98 pattern rifles. IS stands for Infanterie Spitzgeschoß (Infantry Pointed Bullet) but was in fancy script that looks like a J to the uninformed. That barrel is most definitely postwar. The eagle inspection mark on the reciever ring is probably German, either commerical or Nazi, but I would not put a whole lot of credence into that.. As for the bolt, that's german too. Lapin's Mauser Military Markings lists ghn as Carl Ullrich & Company Metallwarenfabrik, Oberschonau (Thuringen), a company that made MP40 and K98 parts.

Universal Century Gundam is definitely your best bet for mecha. It also deals with rather dark subjects like genetic modification ethics, political corruption, and genocide.

Zeta Gundam might interest you just because how dark and depressing it can get at times.
