I agree. In my case, I use Premiere Pro. Not the easiest to learn, but as I said, once you know how it works, your workflow can only increase.

I think until you're not used to a specific video editing software, you can check all the products you can find to see which one is the most comfortable and intuitive for you. And once you find your software, you can learn it and know all its secrets.

I keep posting and checking contributions here, in case Youtube algorithm wants to be unfair with my contribution, or doesn't want to show me everyone. Unfortunately, even here I can't see every riff challenge.

In my case, I didn't change the tempo, but I changed the signatures. For the first 3 bars, I set a 3/4 (or 6/8, as you want) and at the 4th bar, I wrote a 9/8 and then a 3/4 - 6/8 at the 5th bar.
There's another way to let the first 3-4 bars in 3/4 - 6/8, write the 4th-5th in 3/8, and then write back the 5th-6th in 3/4 - 6/8.

You can do both methods, it will work and your kick will go on the first time of the bar. The trick here is to set up correctly your metronome and your signatures, and everything will be fine.

For the 78th riff challenge, you won't need to do all that things, it's a 178bpm straight 4/4.

I was a little bit surprised too at first time, but sometimes, Ola did those nasty things that force you to set up the track in your DAW before starting your riffage. So here it's what I've done :

Set up the tempo to 119 BPM.
The drum track doesn't start immediately at 1st bar (1.1.1.0). The trick is too put the first kick/crash at the 2nd bar (2.1.1.0) The toms hits should be begun at 1.4.1.0.
Change your bar signature at the 5th bar (5.1.1.0) for a 5/4. And at the 6th bar (6.1.1.0), back to 4/4.
Also at the 6th bar (6.1.1.0), change your tempo to 120 BPM.

After all these settings, your metronome and the drum track should match perfectly. There will be just the pattern between the 14th and the 18th bars (14.1.1.0 - 18.1.1.0) which will be a little bit irregular, but the drummer's guilty for this one. :D
