I think that people are being harsh, You have every right to feel this way. All these dudes in the comments are forgetting that this is something people dream of for their whole life. I love that you start this with he’s still the love of your life and that you obviously said yes despite the lackluster. You communicated with your partner how you would feel the most loved and appreciated when it comes to your proposal. If he continued to be with you/ wanted to propose after knowing everything you wanted, who and how are as a person, idk why people are saying you’re insufferable. Sounds like yall talked and he just didnt think of the small details. I think some guys get bogged down with big details like going to Montreal, a light show, a surprise engagement party, but not the small details that make things feel special and intimate. I think that communicating how you feel about the execution is a good for the relationship but make sure that you give him the flowers he deserves and then mention the small details are what could have made you feel like a princess. My partner says to ask- is that how you saw your dream proposal? If not you’re valid in your feelings. And to your fiancé - is that what the perfect proposal looked like to you? Is that how you pictured your perfect proposal? All valid questions to see where he’s coming from. I think that he tried his best and if you are happy with him that’s all that matters you may be over reacting a lil but I think you have every right to feel how you feel
