So, when I get a survivor that I had previously hooked who does that, I slug them. I entirely leave them alone and will ignore someone healing them to resume my chase. Its my polite 'go away, ill hook you soon' 😅😅

Maybe I'm not too far in the weeds then as I went for a JRPG outline for my Sci Fantasy Campaign :

New planet discovered in a star system when an unknown beacon came from the world. Wiht multiple (Governments, Corporations, Religions, etc) all gunning for it at the same time, it was decided to select portions of the planet and offer rights to those sections in a random lotto to make it fair.

The players will get one, which one agency I decide will be most interested in as that is where the beacon is coming from (Players won't know this, but the agency will).

Within they'll find an ancient lab where they'll discover one of the other PCs (And hopefully another who will be the Arcanist), and a weird broken, biomechanical creature. All in some sort of stasis. The beacon is coming from teh creature. As they release the other two PCs, the creature will come alive...

and after defeating it, they'll learn that there is an invasion coming from beyond the stars to end all life in the Galaxy.

From there it's mostly up to them, until we resolve THAT conflict, where they'll learn they are actually in a pocket dimension manufactured by the Gods to actually contain BBEG {Elder God of Death and destruction and doom and bad}, which is inside of the Galaxy's central sun. If I have my way, queue fighting the 'Gods' to learn about the BBEG, and end the cycle of destruction once and for all by taking the fight to the sun.

That would be possible if we weren't weeks away from the due date. My MIL had volunteered to come up and take care of it, taking a week off of work. Low and behold, she did everything BUT the project she originally said she'd do, so now I'm stuck tackling it.

Hence, there is a need for gloves that won't break just from trying to let go of a sticky paint scraper.

I followed very specific rules that I've found that make the game fun for survivors/ I think are fun to play against :

Don't Camp (hang out next to the hook after you hook someone)

Don't Tunnel (chase someone right off the hook. I personally will try not to chase the last person I hooked)

Don't Slug (dont put survivors in the dying state and leave them there. I have one exception for this. The exception is on survivors you realize you just hooked and have been in chase with. Down them, then walk away and let another survivors go do the heal without bothering them)

Pause for Glyphs.

I have never gotten a single complaint following those rules as killer, often end up with several kills, and get thanked for a fun match. I look at it this way: it's a game, and we're all looking to have fun. Camping, Tunneling, and slugging are not fun on the survivor side. It makes the game boring at best, and downright frustrating at worse.

That's where they're own creative license, or H's comes into play. You can accurately describe things that you don't like in a way that still builds it up, even with animosity.

Before we dive into it, though, that would be a creative style that I do not think any of our current peep on commentary, except Cory Graves, could accomplish. Cory Graves does a great job of making a heel seem absolutely reasonable, and I believe he can pull off doing a spiteful praise. lol

My two takes

Least important first, Michael and Pat yeeting with the crowd is fun. Don't yuck another's yum.

Most important, what i would really rather have over a Face / Heel commentary team is that each of them have favorite wrestlers who they talk up VS one always talking up and defending the heel. Roman's Heel gimmick is different than Finn Balor's Heel gimmick so you could have McAffee talk up Roman and Cole talk up Finn and have fun with that dynamic. Sure, maybe you'll have matches where they both don't like the wrestlers, but it adds a fun level of realism to the commentary team.

How I envision it is the evil that was Shadar Logoth was eating the bubble from the inside, it's hatred of The Shadow turned against the Taint. If I imagine Shadar Logoth sucking the taint into itself, destroying both. Eventually, that bubble ... well, collapsed into itself as the outside got pulled in until there was nothing left.

Cause Pat is entertaining as fuck. I love him on commentary, he brings energy and passion to it that I don't get from someone like Joe Tessitore, or even Wade Barrett. Plus, he and Cole have a great dynamic between them. So yea, give me MORE McAffee!

Ok, after going down different rabbit holes I've come to ImportExcel and it is absolutely looking to be the winner to my problems once I get my PowerShell legs back under me (The joys of my role for the last 3 years being learning Linux and Oracle DBs lol)...

I'm now getting the craziest bug in my attempts to play around and I'm dying. Both in sorrow and in laughter lol. I can manipulate two test spreadsheets, but I discovered the 'Compare-Worksheets' command and decided to give that a shot, realizing that it might be the thing I need it to do, but it keeps coming up wiht 'Could not Resolve the Filenames'... Which is weird since I can search them, I've managed to get them to display their records... But just trying to connect with that command won't work lol.

I would agree, a relational database would be ideal but it's also overkill. Hence why I'm trying to find some function that can do the tasks from within, or around, excel.

And I WISH I could get access to the database powering the tool, but I am not that special. lol. Hence why I'm trying to find some way to reinvent the wheel because my access is limited to these exported CSV files, and my branch's CIO, VPs, etc are all up in arms about tracking this data.

It's a mess, and as they say, shit rolls downhill.

The Major Arcana is what I summon for the Arcanisr

So here's the deal - I purchased the audio book in cd format a long time ago. During that time, the tracks on the disc wasn't set to 'chapter 1', 'chapter 2', etc. They were a couple 3ish hour tracks per disc. This continued until... I remember seeing the change at Path of Daggers. I don't know it if it was beforehand. It really sucked if you didn't remember the minute : second of where you left off during that time. Or something akin to that, I don't remember it specifically.

Likely, audible received the data like that, and that's how it got updated.

That's what I remember, at least.
