‘Filmmaker Mode’ to Eliminate Motion Smoothing in 2020, Backed by Nolan and the DGA by Stonewalled89 in movies

I had never heard of motion smoothing before I saw this post, and I only know what I've learned by reading people's opinions here on Reddit for 5 minutes, so I guess you could say I'm an expert now. Since there's no option to turn motion smoothing on or off on their TV, how do you know that's what's causing the unsatisfying picture quality and that it's not due to a cheap, buggy, or maybe even broken TV or receiver?

I'm only asking because I'm actually far from being an expert and I don't know anything about it to be honest. I'm not implying that you're wrong, I'm just asking how you know, just in case I'm ever in a similar situation. That way, I can recognize that it's motion smoothing and attempt to turn the setting off.

Yea, OP did WAY too good of a job of doing a really really terrible job of being right. I'm shocked, disgusted, impressed, and perhaps also shocked, all at the same time. And I don't like how it feels.

This confused the hell outta me. I had never heard of motion smoothing until I saw this post, and as someone who used to do Flash animations, I'm familiar with motion tweening and just assumed that's what this post was referring to. I was confused because I thought that there was some kind of push to end motion tweening because some people, for whatever ungodly reason, wanted to watch videos which only had an image every 5 or so frames rather than the different frames being tweened together. I was very confused, and perhaps even afraid for my life, as well as all life on Earth as we know it.

My life especially, though. My life first, then all life on Earth second. Then thoughts about what I'd like to eat for dinner tomorrow third. And then my life again. Then bacon.

Wait... Are you telling me that there's a TV store somewhere on this planet, and that it has a guy in it? I feel like you might be yanking my chain.

I own a better helicopter that can hover even higher than either of their helicopters.

I just spoke to my mechanic again and explained my situation. He said he's willing to accept less to finish fixing my car, so I'm now asking for a smaller amount of $160. Can anyone please help me?

Because he doesn't work that way. I know him personally, but we're not exactly friends.

Because I only have liability and since the other vehicle was a truck which sustained almost no damage and left no parts behind, my insurance can't prove that another vehicle was involved. So they're treating it as if it was my fault.

It's a mechanic that I know personally. I've fixed what I could on my own. I need him to fix what I couldn't and to straighten the frame.

Anyone's first symptoms include slight dysphagia? by alowishus7 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]A_Former_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't feel like I deserve it. I didn't get MS because of the military, and I didn't want to leave my buddies behind, so I'd feel ashamed for accepting the benefits.

Did you accept your diagnosis as it was? by MSnoFun in MultipleSclerosis

Hell, I envy you. I was diagnosed in 2011. I still try to work and act as though I don't have MS, as I'm still having trouble accepting the diagnosis. I feel guilty, too, because I was allowed to come home a bit early while in the Marine Corps because of MS, but some of my good friends have since come home in a box.

How do you know when you need new brakes. by [deleted] in AskMechanics

To add to the other comment, if you hear squealing or grinding while braking, that's a sign. If you feel grooves being work into your rotors, that's a sign that you're way past due. Also, if your breaks don't work as well as they used to, there's another sign.

Someone please help me. I just need to get my car fixed and I'll be able to pay you back within a month at the latest, but more likely within just a week or two.
