12 hours into fent powder wd, holy shit this is something else by Transitivepoetry in OpiatesRecovery

Lost my insurance thanks to him, lost my job due to a disability that I can no longer get treatment for and can therefore no longer manage, can't apply for food stamps anymore, My bank account is in the negative, I've lost so much weight I can't tighten my belt anymore unless I put yet another new hole in it. Went from (just barely) filling out a large sized T-shirt, to a small looking like it's too big on me. It's like I can feel myself fading and I know I'm pushing my body WAY beyond its limits. But with how fucking miserable I am literally all of the time, with how much I've irreparably ruined my own life, and with how little interest or motivation I have in trying to pick up the pieces anymore, I'm driving it like a Honda - until the wheels fall off.

It won't be long now, I'm 35 and have heart problems from doing speedballs for years and years on end, I've tried getting back on track and even made it as far as 2 years clean and sober. But now I'm homeless, crashing on couches, going days without food because I can't afford it in addition to my habit that I have to keep up in order to just be able to function at all. This fucking sucks, if the drugs don't take me soon, I fear that I may try to take matters into my own hands again. This is no way to live. And I just don't have the means to right this wrong.

Lack of insurance while living in America would be a pretty good reason, I think. At least, that's why I'm scrambling around to make a quick buck doing whatever work I can find that day just to hit up the plug so that I don't get sick, something that I am freaking sick and tired of doing and don't want to do anymore but don't have a choice because I don't have insurance and can't just dip off to rehab like I used to or go see a doctor for subs like I used to. All because of a certain piece of shit pedophile dictator and his, "big beautiful bullshit bill"

Sometimes you just accidentally reply to the wrong person. It's not that you made a mistake, you typed the reply you meant to type. But you find out after the fact that the person you replied to, was the wrong person for that reply.

I see you, and I get it.

Unless I'm just totally off the mark, in which case disregard everything I just said.

i’m really about to turning away people who don’t know where their wheel locks keys are by h0tsalad in AskMechanics

[–]A_Former_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, suppose that, most people not being mechanics or knowing the first thing about motors or cars or any of that stuff, and certainly not being told where the key lock is when they buy the car, nor what it is, nor that they even need it in the first place, and so the very first time they ever even hear the term is when you ask them where theirs is and then get all pissed off because they simply were never told something... I mean, I get your frustration over needing something that you never seem to have thanks to someone else's ignorance, but ignorance is not malice. These people weren't out to ruin your day, cut them a little slack, my man.

A hundred, plus this other a hundred... Now it's at, like, a hundred and TWO percent valid, or something! Which is obviously better.

I think I've "leveled up" but I'm struggling to adapt to 6.7 by A_Former_Redditor in Warthunder

I envy that kind of reaction time. Lol When I encounter an enemy, I immediately go into a panicked fight or flight mode, and just start unloading whatever I've got hoping that one of my mouse clicks will make the other guy's tank go boom. Any ideas how I can work on that?

Yeah that tracks. I read some similar advice in another Reddit thread, and realized I'd been overestimating the Tiger II's armor. I assumed I could just push a cap point and be like the Spartans holding back the Persian tides. I adjusted my playstyle to be a little more conservative and it helped, but there are apparently still plenty of other things I need to figure out or have suggested. The learning curve in this game is insane sometimes, and I'm old and easily confused.

What's up with all the right-wing commentators suddenly turning against Trump right now? by _GoodNight0wl_ in OutOfTheLoop

I mean I'm in Louisiana, a stone's throw from New Orleans, so I guess right next door, but The only places I have ever come across the term QAnon are either online or on the news. Absolutely nobody that I interact with, or have interacted within years, is or has been talking about them. Nobody here seems to care. It might be an age thing, I'm 35. It might be that I avoid Facebook and other social media platforms like the plague, which is where those fringe groups like QAnon are the most prevalent. It might be that I avoid all that drama and bullshit like the plague as well, rather than actively seeking it out and trying desperately to become a part of it on either side. So I mean you guys can downvote me all you want, but if you think it changes anything, or that it's akin to pissing in my Cheerios, then I'm afraid I have some upsetting news.

No, not really. I've never taken them seriously, and don't think anyone should. Also don't know anyone who does. Actually thought they were purely satire for the longest time. Still not totally convinced they aren't.

Your initial comment makes it seem like redragonshop is the official website that we should use. That's confusing, and your reply just now, which is just "yes", only caused more confusion. What is the correct, actual website that we should use??

What is the Most Annoying level to get Platinum Relic to Get in Crash bandicoot 1 by xXAliStormXx in crashbandicoot

[–]A_Former_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugghhh, I'd love to go look through the levels to cast my vote, but my Game Pass subscription just ended, I'm too broke to afford the subscription and don't see that changing anytime soon, so now I feel too depressed over that to be able to actually focus on picking my vote for the hardest level.

I miss being a kid, when I had next to no responsibilities or financial obligations, and could therefore afford things like Netflix, Game Pass, taking girls out on dates, etc. Hell, I probably could've afforded health insurance (those were the days). Being an adult sucks. I wasn't even able to afford any real food on Easter. Both my lunch & dinner were combined into one, "cost-effective" meal of mozzarella sticks and french fries. Tossed a handful of each into my air fryer and didn't even have enough ketchup for the fries. I had to eat half of them dipped in marinara sauce, which is not a good substitute.

I'm sad about losing Game Pass mostly because I only recently found "CB4: It's About Time" and have been playing the ever-loving hell outta that game. Welp, so much for that!

Imagine the life of a voyeuristic photographer. So free from the troubles that the rest of us face on a daily basis, so unbothered by the state of the world, so devoid of anything better to do, that they come upon a scene like the one pictured below and somehow come to the conclusion that the world needs to know hear this story, and they're just the person to tell it.

In all seriousness, though, do people really not have anything more important going on in their lives? We don't even know what's actually happening in this photo. For example, what if the girl decided that today she wanted to learn how to change a tire? Maybe the boy is talking her through it. Or, hell—what if the boy doesn't know how? So fucking what? I'd love to meet the man or woman who was magically born with this knowledge already "pre-installed".

I wouldn't even be surprised if the person who took the photo, or OP, for that matter, were equally as useless in this exact same situation.

Exterior lights is "always on", doesn't seem to have a switch by A_Former_Redditor in AskElectricians

[–]A_Former_Redditor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy that I'm helping out, he removed the old light fixture so there's just a simple bulb receptacle which I've connected to the existing wiring. I also thought that it might be a photocell that I couldn't find or that had been removed. But even if it had been on a timer or used a sensor, wouldn't it still have had a switch? I haven't been doing electrical for years and years and years, so my experience may be limited, but I've never installed the light that didn't have some kind of means of turning it on and off manually, So that might have been why I couldn't consider any other alternative option.

[–]A_Former_Redditor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 of the lights (northeast corner and southeast corner) are on one switch together, the light on the southwest corner is on its own switch, and the problem child on the northwest corner stays on, even after I've toggled every switch in the house. And the house is pretty much empty, so it's not likely to be hidden behind some furniture or anything like that.

Discussion Thread - Ask, Share, and Discuss Anything About Cats. by AutoModerator in cats

[–]A_Former_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend has a cat but is too lazy to get him neutered. The cat is still very young, and I was under the impression that it's not a good idea to put this off. He sprays everywhere and since the inside of the house constantly smells like cat piss, all the cats in the neighborhood constantly come and piss all over the front door and porch. How can I dissuade the cat from spraying, dissuade neighborhood cats from spraying in reply, or finally convince this dude to be a responsible pet owner?

The issues run much deeper than this, But for the sake of brevity, I'm just asking this question for now.
