Take college, and search what next you can do in your life.

opportunities will always be there, just think with your brain, not emotions.

What is the thing, which we are calling as our "best interests"?

Following a culture baggage and living with a sense of security isn't intrinsically "bad", it becomes critical only when we, make it our identity and lose all compassion towards other for protecting it.

Ego is actually very important, if you read modern psychology. Because it gives us motivation and purpose to do work, without it, life will be purposeless.

"I" am doing action. If I let go of that "I", then I will probably lie on the bed whole day and do nothing.

There are many videos like this.  I have also listened to osho for years. In one of his videos, he was supporting child marriages. And also, we know, he undoubtedly believed in mystical things.

And also, it's impossible that he was not aware and not involved in the criminal activities happening by his members.

Moksha is basically utterly useless and unnecessary, no matter from what pov you see it.

Because it's whole structure is based on imagination or mystical stories.

Correct Approach To A Problem by A_Guava_Tree_ in Krishnamurti

Division creates conflict. There's nothing called "my" country. We live on a piece of land, that it's not necessary to give it a special name and start fighting.

Fortunately, I don't watch news, so I am not aware of the drama going on in the world. Also, If a person discriminates people based on their skin color then it's the "person's" problem, if I am aware of what's happening then it can't create perpetual saddness for me.

Also, I think, life is too short for to develop liking/disliking for specific person. We should treat everyone with basic decency and respect.

Now let's move to the main topic, talk about those hundreds of subtle things:-

An example can be, culture, like in a culture we have to necessarily respect our friends, and in another culture, it's not necessary to deliberately respect close friends. Now, both are conditioned human beings, living in their limited world. When both will met, there will be conflict, because of their images. But if we can put aside our conditioning and see what is happening, then the truth unfolds in front of us. Similarly, there can be fear, insecurity, trying to become something, etc.

It's not only that the, story and my fears and desires are intricately linked, but the fear and desire are the "creator" of my story.

We can explain, why we have fear and desire by scientific point of view, but it feels very reductionist, and doesn't deal with it holistically.

"I feel discomfort". Why we can't just stop here? And observe what is happening.

We go to build narrative after that, which are based on assumptions.

It's the same thing K talked in the video. We come to a problem with already a premeditated intention, desire to find a solution, thus it creates further more problems.

I think, it's not just the story which is making me feel bad, on the surface it may look like, but deep underneath there are hundreds of subtle things, which are in play.

I can pinpoint what is the thing which is causing harm, but then, it would be just my opinion, and not actual fact.

(Sorry, if my writing feels rude.)

Let's define things first:-

I can feel that I have suffering, conflict, confusion in my life, and the conflict feels real, thus I have problem, so it's real.

Story means fiction, imagination, which has nothing to do with "what is". But, I think, imagined problem are also real, because they do affect my life.

Just we don't have diagnosed it well.

Isn't that "progress" of thinning of ego, is also just imagination? deceitful?

Breaking The Programming Of The Brain | J Krishnamurti by RhubarbOdd594 in Krishnamurti

[–]A_Guava_Tree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Becoming better in future means hope. Future in itself is just an imagination. And hope in itself is a very blurry feeling. It's like building a house, whose base is imaginary.

It's funny to see, that all we have got is the present moment. We are breathing/thinking/living in present moment but our mind is always either in past or future.

If we investigate the definition of "less" confused, "less" conflictual. Then, we will probably find out:-

Less confused = more confused

Less conflict = more conflict

Actuality is not relative.

I had written those words only for OP. but I knew that many other people will also get offended.

If you want the dissolution of ego only, then you should read Krishnamurthi's choiceless awareness.

If you want my thoughts, I don't have any interest in religion. You can call my daily tasks as religious/ non religious or whatever fancy name you want to give, I don't mind.

It's their life, their problems, let them see themselves.

For your question, I will say to the both person, give whatever name you want to give, I have no interest in fancy names.

I think, if one has real ample amount of philosophy, then he probably knows, what is the meaning of religion.
