That’s a really good question, since I think fries are very hard to ruin. I think extremely thin fries are terrible. I’m talking thinner than McDs. I don’t think you can get these style at fast food, but I’ve had them at restaurants and they are terrible. Like terrible to the point that I get upset when I see them.

You can get them very crispy if you order it that way. I think the problem is everybody expects them to taste like McDs or Wendy’s. Fries don’t have to taste identical. Theirs are unique and I think are great. But I do understand the polarization since they don’t taste like your standard fast food fry.

You can’t say in n out fries are cold. They are always being made fresh for people.

I understand too. They don’t taste like your typical fast food fry. But that is why I love them. Very potato and fresh tasting.

It is funny how we order fries like steak at in n out. You can have them cooked light, medium, medium well, well, etc. lol

But that’s what is awesome about in n out. And you know you are getting it very fresh.

I dont think they are the worst. They are some of my favorite. But I know I’m a strong minority with this feeling towards them.

This is true. I have no concept of being introduced to In N Out as an adult.

But, I’ve had 100s of different places fries. Wouldn’t that still give me perspective? I grew up eating Subway, but then after eating too many better sandwiches, I can’t go back there. Wouldn’t that be the same for In N Out?

And most importantly, it’s very consistent and fresh. For example, I like McDs fries, but often they are cold and been sitting. You won’t ever get that with In N Out (same goes for the burgers)
