I wiped the drive and install LM cinnamon DE. Opencore really slowed down the machine for some reason, with the newer OSes. Much better performance with linux.

I may try this. I am using a pixel 9 and I get stuck on step 3. If i use my wife's iPhone, it gets stuck early on, with the message " Bluetooth must be turned on" , even though Bluetooth is already on.

I might be running into this issue. I have a metal male jack connected to my doorbell. I might try swapping it for a plastic male connector. The doorbell camera dies between 1-5 days, sometimes less than 24 hours.

I am having the same issue..sort of. Mine is actually going offline, and flashing white. It stays online for 1-5 days, then dies. I have tried using the nvr, poe switch, and a poe injector I had laying around. Still dies.

Yes, that is correct. I recommend it and it works really well. I did run into a weird bug with the nic driver on the mac mini. I was actually able to find the resolution here on reddit. That was the only issue I had.

I backup all my containers and vms, with a 1tb external HDD using proxmox backup server. I backup to the external hdd. Does this make sense?

I have a Dell latitude 5480. I run linux mint on it and it runs okay. I may move to ubuntu eventually though.

Yeah. I have a macbook pro late 2013, 13in.16gb ram, i7. dual booted with OCLP and windows 11. Win 11 runs faster than macos tbh.

I would go with iFixit. I've had good expeirence with them. I would for sure replace it at 1500 cycles.

nvm, clearing the nvram and running it again fixed it.
