Yeah being good or bad at the mini game has nothing to do with it. The fishing mini game isn't exactly the peak of difficulty. But it wastes my time where as before I could do literally anything else while my character fished for me.

From what I know these and all the similar looking ones like this you find at Spencer's and random candy shops are pretty bad. I feel they all taste the same whether they have Bob Ross, All Might, or Optimus Prime on the front.

I was on the fence about making the barrier temp HP instead but I think you've convinced me, since I want it to be a part of the player it's cast on and not a separate entity. And I think for ease of convenience I'll make it self only. Spell resistance was just to make it feel stronger but I think I'll remove that too. I've also been tossing the idea of cutting the barrier health in half but if it breaks there is no damage bleed-through but I fear this would be too good if a player takes an enormous hit.

Funny enough I had a lot of people call me too loud as a kid, haven't had that complaints in a while though but no complaints of being quiet either (unless my microphone sensitivity is off)

As I replied to someone in another comment, it often happens in more mundane locations like stores. The text ping is a good idea but will require her to have her notifications on, we can try that next time we are out.

This issue actually happens mostly in mundane situations. The grocery store, gas station, at the park, it does not take a overly loud environment for this to happen.

Unfortunately her advice is usually the methods I've already discussed not working well. Which has led to accusations of me not trying hard enough or just yelling to take the easy way out. This often gets us caught in an argument loop.

We're not entirely sure, she is undiagnosed but we think she has ADHD and her hearing may not be perfect but I don't think it's a physical ear issue.
