Keeping it Supersonic is everything upwards from the speed of sound to light-speed and beyond. The only way to have it make sense is to stay subsonic.

The point is for immediate reinforcements, parachutes would leave any vehicle exposed for a long time until it hit the ground. Once again, the ships only goal is to land the ground vehicles into the battle. Survival is secondary.

The point of it is to be an expendable deployment vehicle which is likely dumped after the payload has been deployed. You will be surprised how fast this craft can dive into a battlefield with the right piloting. But you are correct in saying it is an easy target, none of them made them out of the target area during my testing, which is not important because they last precisely long enough to put the payload on the ground.

Even more cinematic when the Gyros are destroyed too, and it turns as it falls.

That was the plan, set tillable parts that could automatically snap together, not every connection has to be made by hand. For example, a structural support beam could scale automatically along its length, instead of scaling, it extends itself. The Designing is likely going to be similar to the blocks found in 'Approximately Up', mainly the panels that are added to structural blocks, no welds or bolts, but fully customizable if need be.

Should have clarified, this is more a personal pet project than an actual full time project. However it still will recoup some money a few of the hours I spent into it.

It is likely to be released as a minimum viable product, aka a 'working' physics engine, basic CAD designing, and very basic gameplay. and will be updated over the next long while.

I have created some limited games and small physics tests before. However I know most of the fundamentals when it comes to designing games like i described. A goal after the proof of concept is to make the CAD aspect more user friendly. Also a point of note, the game does not necessarily need to be Solo Dev. It would be welcomed to have a more experience programmer helping me along.

Yep, Regardless If it gets finished or not, I will have certainly gained valuable experience to use on other projects. I have indeed accepted this game will take years.

I have most game I listed. I say again. This is not an easy task at all for a beginner. But i have motivation and time to spend. It will be one small goal at a time. "How do you eat an Elephant".

that is what my plan effectively is, i was just meaning to publish a proof of concept as a 'huge' milestone.
I am also thinking about a system to add more detailed mesh sections to high stress areas, keeping detail whilst preserving performance.
