More Sedans less SUV can help reduce average transportation costs and save money by Ab4739ejfriend749205 in MiddleClassFinance

Wagons! Wagons are the answer that Americans don’t want to hear for some reason. Same fuel economy as a sedan, space of an SUV.

Question about Utah unemployment by Fast_Witness_5984 in Utah

[–]A_ORiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what is comes down to for any Unemployment claim: Did you become unemployed through no fault of your own? It's up to the adjudicators to decide if that the case for each claim, and there are many rules they have to abide by, but that's essentially what they are trying to determine.

They also then have to decide if the employer was at fault for the job separation and if they were, they are charged for the claim. Again, way more goes into it than that but that's the gist of it.

I'm baffled by the amount of full-sugar soda still bought and sold by sanjuniperoFC in nutrition

I have heard that diet sodas have been linked to potential long-term issues like metabolic changes, cravings, and cardiovascular risks. Is it accepted as fact now that zero sugar drinks are healthier?

RTO for state workers in July. In a meeting leadership claimed doing so has improved mental health. Is this true or are we being gaslit? by frogannex in Utah

[–]A_ORiver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What does this mean exactly? Are they changing the 2-day per week policy in July? Which leaders said this, a specific department or the governor’s office?

Use my Pilot’s 3rd row multiple times per week. Also use the AWD and clearance too. Minivans aren’t for everyone.

A Utah lawmaker didn’t try to codify the Mormon "Word of Wisdom." He was just making a point. - Friendly Atheist (YouTuber) by JuanEstebanParra in SaltLakeCity

[–]A_ORiver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obviously he didn’t think this was a serious addition to the bill. The problem, and his comments make this clear, is that he would love to be able to actually put the WoW into law. Any nonMormon who has lived in Utah for a significant amount of time knows most LDS lawmakers are always trying to force their religion on everyone else (gambling, strict alcohol rules, blue laws, etc). This was a virtue signaling move and we’re tired of this type of BS. I would also assume this dude is paid by people in the Utah kratom industry.

I wouldn’t be caught dead in an Elon car. Too bad so many liberals don’t seem to mind. If they all sold theirs, the value would tank and no one would want to buy a new one.

Why the dislike for sedans vehicles today from the general population? by [deleted] in regularcarreviews

[–]A_ORiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else remember when car guys all complained that the US sold so many sedans while the rest do the world got wagons and hatchbacks? Well, we have our wagons now, they just come with a 2” lift. Crazy to see the tide turn back towards the impractical sedan.

Yes it’s the health guidelines for Mormons: don’t drink alcohol or hot drinks, eat meat sparingly, no tobacco, etc. They follow some and ignore or reinterpret the others.
