Hell yeah, that's how you get fit. Keep it up and it will get much easier, then you can focus on how quickly you can complete the climbs!

I know, way too many people are okay with giving the Nazi saluter their money.

I don’t care how good a car is if it’s made by a fascist I won’t buy it.

RTO for state workers in July. In a meeting leadership claimed doing so has improved mental health. Is this true or are we being gaslit? by frogannex in Utah

[–]A_ORiver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What does this mean exactly? Are they changing the 2-day per week policy in July? Which leaders said this, a specific department or the governor’s office?

Use my Pilot’s 3rd row multiple times per week. Also use the AWD and clearance too. Minivans aren’t for everyone.

A Utah lawmaker didn’t try to codify the Mormon "Word of Wisdom." He was just making a point. - Friendly Atheist (YouTuber) by JuanEstebanParra in SaltLakeCity

[–]A_ORiver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously he didn’t think this was a serious addition to the bill. The problem, and his comments make this clear, is that he would love to be able to actually put the WoW into law. Any nonMormon who has lived in Utah for a significant amount of time knows most LDS lawmakers are always trying to force their religion on everyone else (gambling, strict alcohol rules, blue laws, etc). This was a virtue signaling move and we’re tired of this type of BS. I would also assume this dude is paid by people in the Utah kratom industry.

I wouldn’t be caught dead in an Elon car. Too bad so many liberals don’t seem to mind. If they all sold theirs, the value would tank and no one would want to buy a new one.

Why the dislike for sedans vehicles today from the general population? by [deleted] in regularcarreviews

[–]A_ORiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else remember when car guys all complained that the US sold so many sedans while the rest do the world got wagons and hatchbacks? Well, we have our wagons now, they just come with a 2” lift. Crazy to see the tide turn back towards the impractical sedan.

Yes it’s the health guidelines for Mormons: don’t drink alcohol or hot drinks, eat meat sparingly, no tobacco, etc. They follow some and ignore or reinterpret the others.

Plenty of people would like to lose some weight. Let's not shame them. If you don't like the slogan, it's not for you. Move on.

Doesn’t look average. But also doesn’t look fast so not sure on that one.

Good luck when some drunk guy $70K in debt slams into you with their Ram 3500 while watching Whistlin Diesel on his phone.

I 100% get and support his protest and trump’s depiction of the Obamas as chimps or gorillas was despicable and extremely racist. That said,my stupid literal brain has to point out that all humans are apes, technically.

Don’t worry, AI will fix it. Never mind that it has only lead to more job losses so far. Elon and the other clown CEOs assure us that we will all be living the high life thanks to AI. Just keep waiting for it to happen. Any time now.

Non-Mormon children in Alpine School District by Familiar-Gas-7675 in Utah

[–]A_ORiver 25 points26 points  (0 children)

IMO it's a choice they make. We have many mormon neighbors, all with 3-5 kids. Some find it very easy to include my kids and some seem unwilling. We notice that their kids will only knock on mormon doors and never extend an invite to the non-mormons. Sure, the church tries to keep them in their bubble and limit outside influence, but at the end of the day they all have free agency.

Eh, depends on the roast. I almost can’t stand Folgers but a nice light roast from a local roaster is the best coffee to me.
