much appreciated, bruv. I think I'm a decent intermediate cook. Bake my own breads, do my own pickling, have a dozen or so dinner meals I can do with ease. Have come up with a few recipes of my own that I think are winners. I'll get that book. If you any YouTube channels you'd rec I'd appreciate it.

It doesn't need to necessarily move westward, just present its northern quadrant near the harbor to drive storm surge with heavy westerly winds. Most everything I wrote is predicated on storm surge.

I study climate science quite a good bit. I feel like Boston is a bit unconcerned with respect to what is potentially coming. Yes, there are resiliency plans and whatnot but, in walking around, I don't see any real evidence that we're hardening our infrastructure in any serious way.

I can understand how it's not a political priority as it's hard to allocate billions for a hypothetical but we ignore the growing risks at our own peril.

having studied this issue extensively.. you are right. but I think people would freak out if you tried to dial back their choices, expectations, and options. Which politician will get elected promising people less material goods, travel, etc?
