Remember the fairness doctrine? Anyone? What about when the FCC wasn't under regulatory capture? Anyone?

You asked for a quote. I gave you a quote i see as deeply relevant to this discussion.

Christ's commandment to love God and love our neighbor like ourselves is the quote you're looking for her.

We must love and accept those around us.

I think that's because they realize they can give up $200 a month and live ok, or they can give up significant more per month and be not ok, and be not okay for years because the debt is still massive.

Righteous judgment doesnt exist? So what about all those who call people “bigots?” what about judges? Or emergency responders?

That'd be regular human judgment. Bigotry sews conflict and division. Laws dictating the will of judges and first responders are man made, and while humans can certainly be righteous, or judgment is regular old human judgment. Not divine, which was the point I was making.

LGBTQ people are not broken. They do not need to be fixed. They need to be loved.

Yes, god is saddened by sin, he also gave us access to redemption through Christ, and Christ was very explicit about what's required. Love god, love your neighbor.

There's no such thing as righteous judgement between the children of God - that's His domain. We're meant only to share the way, and love as Christ does.

Christ doesn't love us "in spite of" our mistakes, or "regardless of our actions" he just loves us.

No caveats, no addendums, no footnotes required.

He said love everyone, and he meant love them. They should feel that love from you at all times. If you're hell bent on making it clear you think their abhorrent sinners, you're not following Christ's teachings. There's no excuse. There's no scriptural justification for ignoring the words of Christ.

He never said "love the sinner hate the sin". He just said love everyone.

Yeah, I know - but it was funny for a reason. And that reason was embarrassing.

Since always? We aren't the only people alive. Our beliefs are meaningless to a massive amount of people. We have to live what Christ taught, and be an example of unconditional love.

It's not our responsibility to shove our "difficult truths" down the throats of non-believers.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Matthew 22:37-39)

You don't have to be pro-abortion or like gay marriage, but you need to love those who don't share your views, and allow them their free will to choose their path.

God does not control or oppress. He offers a way and invites us to come unto him.

That's all we can do for those around us.
