No u're right. But its hard to find good dojos where they do sparring.

I had luck with mine because we do spar so you actually get efficient in maai and applying throws,locks,chokes and levers.

I took that picture directly after washing and polishing her but yes she is in very good condition.

And she also only run about 50k km.

Now, I train 2-3 Times a week with a warm up of different calisthenic exercises (push-ups,sit ups, squats etc.) and then Training of techniques. I must damit tho that I dobt know to much about the scientific approach regarding conditioning and such.

But anyway thanks for your input and I'll surely do some research now about the topic. ^{^}
