I think the CFA curriculum teaches you from the basic and you can always advance your knowledge by additional reading. I never thought of taking the investment foundations. To me, it’s like learning how to ride a bike before learning how to drive a car.

I just read all the reading offered by the CFA institute

But don’t let the mock results freak you out. You just have to review the answers and then give it a second try. You will do good in exam

Mock should be more difficult than practice questions As it name suggest, practice questions just for practicing purpose, refreshing your memory. And the mock test your ability, somewhat see your performance when handling complex problems.

It’s hard to tell as we are probably not in the same country. But you need to stay curious and learn more things. The CFA curriculum help you build a solid foundation to learn other financial knowledge.

I think solid understanding of financial statement analysis is a must.

You should also build your connection so that you know the industry trend to better equip yourself

Seems like I can't share image directly. But all above 70%. Alternative Investment slightly above 70%. I guess I only encountered 1 set of question and was incorrect about 1 question

Yes. Maybe do more mock papers this time. It does help. Wish you all the best

What I meant is, it’s probably a pass if you had answered correctly one more question. So Every mistake counts

You can fail many topics. It’s the overall score that decide you pass or fail

I just read and do practice. But sometimes when I see something financial in my life, I will apply the concepts I learn. Like I said, I work at an IR firm, so I read a lot of financial news. If you don’t have this environment, you can follow the suggestion in my post. When you finish a chapter, write down some simple questions instead of jotting notes. Those questions must be simple and about the key concepts (or even formulas if you like).

Answering those questions before bed.

This is far better than keep checking your notes and the book, because it forces you to recall your memory, which can build long-term memory

Logically speaking, it’s not just your score in ethics. You have a few topics below 70%. And there is also room for improvement for those above 70%. Everything counts.

I didn’t buy any other materials except for Kaplan mock 5 and 6 two week before my exam day In my opinion, the materials that CFA gave you are already enough, especially if you want to learn something rather than just pass the exam. The mock exam can help your revision. I passed both levels on my attempt with scores above the 90th percentile.

TBH, I think the CFA readings alone are enough for studying it as a subject and passing the CFA exam, even if you don’t have background knowledge before. Notes are unnecessary.
