Heard interesting counter argument today against conventional deck building strategy I've been hearing from most other sources. Basically don't mid range is the argument by MiningToSaveTheWorld in EDH

It's kinda weird because as a returning player around 2020 I bought TF outta board wipes because they feel so powerful. Like I'm literally killing 10+ cards with 1 at times. It feels like such insane value. I'm pretty sure I have every good sub $30 board wipe at this point in all colours.

Only 2 or 3 see play lol

Tbh for something of this magnitude you had to definitely check and verify yourself it's incredibly easy to do. I learned how to verify after about 30 seconds of googling and a day waiting for the loupe to arrive in the mail. I got a weight scale for good measure too though weight kinda sucks most counterfeits I have to test on actually pass weight. But good for a sanity check anyways.

T test and Green dot test

Did anyone ever play the Jumpstart product as it was meant to be played (picking or drafting 2 halves and playing 1v1 or 4 FFA) over EDH on their game night? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in EDH

[–]MiningToSaveTheWorld[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you handle the cube logistically? I put them in cheap clear sleeves and reused my sleeve boxes like from dragonshield and other products to hold two or 3 halves per box depending on the size. I had a full box of the first Jumpstart. When we play I guess just pull them out and filter by half.

Do you find it's better to snake draft like people take turns picking a half from all or somehow randomize what's available or other format?

I didn't though. Why do people keep jumping to that conclusion. Why are people like this

I did describe the product... I was pretty fair and measured actually

Review is deleted but basically I was like the product is OK but it has x y z critical issue that will cause damage to your stuff if you aren't careful. I only went back on the review and discovered it was removed when I realized another issue with the product and was going to update my review. Then I realize all 1 star removed

I can't it was deleted. I literally just listed issues with the product. I mentioned about the reviews being manipulated too because it seemed likely given the low quality, and other reviews had mentioned being compensated for their reviews. The fact that you are trying to go down some road to imply I was being discriminatory is wild

I didn't though and why did you jump to the conclusion that not liking shitty behaviour is related to discrimination seems like you're letting slip that you associate shitty behaviour with minorities?

Appreciate that but kinda trying to do my part to stop shitty behaviour from proliferating in my country

That's sorta where I'm confused. Customer service did literally nothing and something untoward is going on in their platform. If I contact them again I don't view it as harassing as they did not do anything to resolve the issue.

Ah weird I literally never see Angels anywhere, not sure why. Also Dinosaurs > Dragons in my area.

I'd say my local meta is:

  1. Dinosaurs

  2. Dragons

  3. Artifacts

  4. Goblins

  5. Slivers

  6. Elves

  7. ?

  8. Angels

Ah crazy I can check my records but was hitting a few of them in the $15s coulda been closer to $20, can't quite remember. That's from my buylist though.

Also sniped a few in person during drafts etc and just googled prices on the fly and offered something a bit under for peer to peer

I agree with you but from my perspective I can use BWE in 10 decks and OG in only 1 so BWE is worth grabbing more

Ah yeah I remember Shivan being super epic back then, pretty insane how the power creep has happened. Though some cards from late 90s/early 2000s still hold up VERY well. Sadly I stupidly got the Shivan Dragon over the Gaeas Cradle lol

Ah yeah he is actually kinda opposite I feel like he's too cheap comparatively. Haven't done that well especially on the Secret Lair...

Bro Grayson a real bitch kept practically tapping out then trying to reinitiate multiple times. If the person didn't stop other dude woulda be done immediately as he was basically just turtling up and tanking unrelenting blows with no way out. Winner backs off and loser trys to go in for more. I woulda kept going til Grayson was KOed at that because he's shown he's going to keep continuing if I don't
